On a recent trip to Japan, in Kyoto I ate the absolute best tempura ever. So now, back home in NYC, I want to find the best tempura NYC has to offer as I am totally craving it again. I should probably get a Zagats, but I'm already in my pj's. :)

lot of japanese restaurants in NYC. East with a few locations makes a good tempura at an affordable price. Sapporo East in East Village does too. You might like to check out the posts on www.chowhound.com, location NYC.
