Hate to tell ya, kiddo, if you loved him you wouldn't have broken his heart. Love it or hate it, there it is, the way you made it.

Hate to tell you this, but the best for both of you is to leave it alone and be civil if and when you see each other. The more you hold on to a relationship that's no longer there, the more suffering you bring on yourself.

Since you are young and it's "nothing major", it wont amount to marriage, it is a dead end- Let's say both of you make up and get back together: Things are great, however, after a while, the novelty wears off and you begin to have the same (and more) problems. The relationship becomes strained, and things hit a low point then you break up, again.
It's very emotionally jarring on both people and youre back to where you began, only things are worse now. The best thing for you to do out of RESPECT FOR HIM (and yourself) is to let it go. Both of you are hurt, so your feelings need to run their course.

If he's already said his heart is broken, he's telling you that despite how he feels towards you, it's time to respect his descision/feelings and back off. Also, relationships are NOT one-sided, it's not about just you. You need to consider what he wants, thinks, feels, ect. If you force your way on him, you can hurt/make things soooo much more complicated. he may eventually resent you. I hope this helps,

good luck ;)

You can't "get him back". He can only come back of his own free will. If I had the answer to this question I would be happily snuggled next to my own ex-sweetie, and I am 49 years old! It doesn't matter how old you are, the game of love is still both a fun and not-so-fun ride.

Awwww....

Tell him you're sorry, and that you still love him.

That, right there, oughta do the trick.
