You don't do anything except (TRUST) and Believe what God is
telling you in his WORD. (1)REPENT=confess to God that you are
lost and need Jesus to be saved. (2)Place your FAITH in Jesus
finished work on calvary.Jesus was born of a virgin,Jesus was crucified
dead and buried for three days and three nights,Jesus was BODILY
RESURRECTED FROM THE DEAD for you to be saved.If you believe
these true facts from the Bible you will be Born of God !
I pray that the Holy Spirit will show you the Righteousness of

There are different teachings on this that have to do with repenting or turning away from your sins and believing that Jesus died to pay your sin debt and rose again on the third day.

Those all have a basis in the Bible from various verses but to really and truly be a Christian you have to be "born again". That happens when God's Holy Spirit comes and lives inside you.

Probably that doesn't make a lot of sense, but here are some verses that describe what a person has to do to become a Christian.

John 3:3 Jesus answered him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." 4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" 5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."

Luke 11:13 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

Romans 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

Reading Bible doesn't make a Christian
Paying tithes doesn't make a Christian
Joining any Christian religion doesn't make you a Christian.

In my view the way is:
Read 4 Gospels and follow the path of Christ as a sincere believer - if you want to be a Christian. Don't try to create our meanings for the matter we don't understand at the first instance. Don't think that you hear from older Christians are all truth. You will gradually learn what is Christianity. Seek the advise of your own self.

Wow, lots of people are going to places outside scripture to find answers. Look at what the New Testament says:

Acts 2:37 When the people heard this, their hearts were filled with shame. They said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?” 38 Peter replied, “All of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then your sins will be forgiven. You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Ac 16:31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus. Then you and your family will be saved.” 32 They spoke the word of the Lord to him. They also spoke to all the others in his house. 33 At that hour of the night, the jailer took Paul and Silas and washed their wounds. Right away he and his whole family were baptized.

How does someone become a Christian?
The Bible says "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved."

"What do they have to do?"
Die to yourself, that is: Give yourself to Him, and trust His promises more than the circumstance. God does not lie.

First, you have to admit that you have sinned and fallen short of the glory of god
Then you must believe that Jesus died for you and the forgiveness of your sins
Then you much confess your sins to the Lord and he will forgive you

I Personally believe that all people are equal in the eyes of god regardless of their religion. so it doesnt matter whether or not your christian. But if you want to become active in a christian church you should research the many denominations and choose one with views similar to your own. Like to you think that all people should be allowed to join a church or that god is exclusive. Should anyone be able to become ministers or just straight men. Do you believe everyone will be accepted into heaven or just some people. There are alot of important issues that separate christians and its important to understand them
