Are all islamic people what the news reports make them out to be?

the news makes it seem like all muslims want to "get rid of the infidels". That's their explanation behind the mindset of the terrorist acts of 9-11. Is it true that all muslims want to slaughter the infidels... that seems really extreme... please tell me this isn't true!

That is not true, i am a practising Muslim and i have many, hundreds of non-muslim friends and i love them all. The media is being unfair about all this.Palestine is invaded but the media donwplay this a lot..think for urself dear, then u will see the reality of the world. Muslim worldwide is being oppressed, nobody higlighted on that - " Slander has speed, but truth endures.."

No we are not like that at all. We are not terrorist we are living in your neighborhood. there are 1.3 Muslims in the world and we are not being terrorist.

Did you know that there are as many Christian terrorist in the world as there are Muslim. Just they do not make it into the news.

The Media is making it look like we are all out to get anyone who does not believe what we do but that is not true. The Quran says we must respect people of the book. ie. Christians and Jews.

NOWHERE DOES ISLAM ENJOIN THE KILLING OF INNOCENTS.. The Quran says: "Fight in the cause of God against those who fight you, but do not transgress limits. God does not love transgressors." (Quran 2:190) "If they seek peace, then seek you peace. And trust in God for He is the One that heareth and knoweth all things." (Quran 8:61) War, therefore, is the last resort, and is subject to the rigorous conditions laid down by the sacred law.

According to the Quran, "There is no compulsion in religion" (2:256), thus, no one can be forced to become a Muslim


Islam totally forbids the terrorist acts that are carried out by some misguided people. It should be remembered that all religions have cults and misguided followers, so it is their teachings that should be looked at, not the actions of a few individuals

Be careful not to overgeneralize any multi-million member group of people. Still, when you hear the Muslim responses that there is no necessary connection between violence and the religion of Islam, don't believe it either. Violence is necessary to the beginning of Islam but not so for every major world religion. Still, this doesn't mean that modern Muslims must be tied to their dark history.

Generally, Muslims are peaceful people.
It was unfortunate that in their own country,some minority or even majority are subjected to injustice,under oppression and poverty.
To make matter worst,these government are supported by some foreign 'democratic country'.
It was also unfortunate that the US was involved.

You will find more Muslims outside that region(middle-East) and Africa,i.e in Europe,South East Asia,China etc and they are all peaceful people.There is no oppression there.

It isnt true. I am sure you must have come across Muslims, or what you read as answers here, do they all seem like that to you? Every Religion has bad and good people, think from a wider aspect and you will have your answer.

The Qur’an not only says that a Mushriq seeking asylum during the battle should be granted refuge, but also that he should be escorted to a secure place. In the present international scenario, even a kind, peace-loving army General, during a battle, may let the enemy soldiers go free, if they want peace. But which army General will ever tell his soldiers, that if the enemy soldiers want peace during a battle, don’t just let them go free, but also escort them to a place of security?
This is exactly what Allah (swt) says in the Glorious Qur’an to promote peace in the world.
Tell me now, is it fair that ISLAM is seen as ‘violent’ religion???
