1)Listen to them, you'll find out. Sometimes listening is what people need most.
2)Be welcoming and kind. Smile.
3)Tell them how they've been a blessing to you! The other day at church, a woman stood up and testified how a church greeter was so nice to her and welcomed her like she was a good friend. The woman said she really saw the love of Christ in the greeter. How nice!

In the home: A parent can be a blessing to their children by living from the highest standards (moral/ethical), being a shining example of a good human being, teaching their children about God and what He expects of them. Children can be a blessing by obeying their parents, doing well in school, volunteering in their community, living from the highest standards and obeying God.
In the work place: Doing what is expected of you and then some. Conducting yourself as a professional even when others are less than professional. Bring you high standards with you to work.
In the community: Be an active member in your community by volunteering, being active in your church, looking for opportunities to share your gifts and watching to see where God is at work.

A blessing is something received that was undeserved. Everyone is special - just be you - help when you can - follow God's word - study the Bible:
Check out http://www.johnfourteen.com from John 14 in the Bible
Look at "Studies in the Bible" and "Lessons from the Pulpit"
many answers to everyday life can be found there.

I believe that there are infinite ways to be a blessing to somebody else...
From simple gestures of respect, consideration, and kindness - -holding the door for a stranger
-going out of your way to be helpful
To larger things that can be practical and/or spiritual in nature:
-writing somebody an encouraging note/email/card
-offering assistance to somebody who couldn't repay the favour in kind (i.e. taking somebody grocery shopping with you if they don't have a car, making dinner for somebody who is going through a hard time, buying a present for them, spending time with a shut-in, helping a single parent/disabled person/elderly person with house/yard work)
-regularly praying FOR somebody or praying WITH them
-being a listening ear
-speaking truth in to somebody's life in a loving way (things that you have learned from your own life, lessons God has taught you, good scripture verses)
-attend important events to support that person (their graduation, wedding, a confirmation/Baptism/Christening, a house-warming, etc, etc)
Your ability to "be a blessing to someone else" is only limited by your willingness to do so and your imagination!
Cheers : )

A miracle is a temporary solution, but a blessing isn't temporary and can rarely be lost.
To be a blessing - be a loyal friend.

Blessings are in the eyes of the beholder...so ask the person that you want to bless.

recognize a need in their life and fill it- this can be anything from the intangible: friendship , a hug, time, teaching them a skill, etc. to the tangible: bringing food, clean thier house, do yardwork for them, give them something they need but could not afford, drive them places they would not be able to drive themselves
It just depends on the person, but being a blessing generally has to do with filling a need in the life of that person and/ or doing something unexpected - give them something they really want but could not afford or would not do for themselves.

Doing something ordinary that for someone that does not expect it. Such as seeing someone in the grocery line who had to just put back a necessary item and instead you give them the money to afford it or you were just there for someone who needed a listening ear.
