Please share the pros and cons to living there. I have family in Lancaster. My wife and I are thinking of moving from Las Vegas to either Lancaster or Rosamond. Las Vegas is too big, too dirty, and too stressful (and too hot!). We would like to know if AV is a good place to raise a family.

My husband and I lived there for 17 years. We moved there when it was NOTHING. No malls. Ave P was one lane in ea direction. The thing we didn't like was the wind, the heat and the traffic to the valleys was getting worse. I know what you mean about LV. My inlaws live in Henderson. I don't know how they live out there. Nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. Good luck! Email me anytime.

My Bro used to live in the Antelope Valley he only lasted there a year. He liked it there but the problem for him was it was far away from everything else. So if you can find a job close by then chances are you'll make it there. But just letting you know the Valley does get pretty hot during the summer not as Bad as Vegas but still hot .
