I am 10 1/2 weeks pregnant and have had brown spotting off and on. Yesterday I started to get bright red blood, like moderate flow during your period. It didn't have clots or anything and I wasn't having cramps, but there was quite a bit of it. I freaked out and went to see my doc, he did an ultrasound and the baby looked fine, but I may possibly have something called a subchorionic hemorrhage and he put me on bedrest for a couple weeks. Today I was only getting light spotting again that was dark brown in color. Spotting is scary though!! Anyone else experienced anything like this??

Dont worry!! I spotted throughout my whole pregnancy and I have the most healthy beautiful baby girl. If it is brown in color or just a little bit of red blood then its probably normal. I know I worked heavily through my whole pregnancy so thats why I spotted. Just take it easy if your worried and never be afraid to call the doc if you have questions. They are used to worried over protective parents!

I'm 4 months pregnant now but when I was 12 weeks I got sent to the emergency room for bleeding... I had clots but no cramping... turns out i have a tear between the placenta and the uterus... the babies are fine but yes it's very scary... the dr also put me on bedrest..... and I only have brown spotting... the dr told it was a good sign that it was brown because it meant that it was old blood... they're not concern about brown blood just red... hang in there and get lots of rest... I'm sure the dr is going to monitor you closer now.... I know it's hard not to freak out but try to relax...

You bet! I'll be 11 wks. tom. I spotted lightly for a week straight, and had constant cramping and back pain. I've been ok now for a couple of weeks. My doc told me that it's normal to spot sometimes since my uterus is expanding and setting into place. I'm also taking into consideration that this is my third pregnancy, I never spotted with my first, spotted twice lightly with my second, and like I said for a week straight with this one. It is scary though, my doc told me to take it easy and not to overexert myself. She put me on bedrest too! My mom told me the first time I was pregnant not to lift anything heavy, climb ladders, etc not to over exert myself because the first trimester is the most critical for a miscarriage. Needless to say my husband goes and does all the laundry so I don't risk our baby and I don't do any heavy lifting that I don't have to do. If I spot again more than likely I may rush to the hospital just to be cautious, but I try not stress over it since it affects the baby. Well honey good luck to you and know that you're not alone. There's a few of us out here going through it right along with you!

I'm in my 2 nd month of pregnancy. I had some bleeding last week, but the ultrasound report came out with no problems. Every day after that I've been having bit of brown discharge. And exactly after 1 week of my first bleeding, I again experienced bleeding, this time it was brownish. I didn't experience anything like this during my first pregnancy and so this had me real worried. I am seeing the doctor again today evening. I think its always a better option to seek medical opinion in cases like this. Better be safe than sorry. It also eliminates any unnecessary worries and lets you enjoy your pregnancy better. Report your symptoms to your doctor and I'm sure things will move smooth with good care. All the very best to you!

Spotting is how i found out i was pregnant. I was about two months pregnant when i went to the doctor, because i was spotting for a few weeks and i couldnt figure out why. he put me on bedrest because i was in danger of losing my baby. dark brown spotting is what i had, it should stop soon being that your on bedrest now. just be careful doing certain things and dont over work yourself and you will be fine :)

My sis in law had very similar stuff in 3 of her 5 preganacies. She did have one miscarriage but that was swift and not nearly as worrysome as the spotting that occured with her three healthy normal babies that she had that issue with. If your Doc says things are looking good then give your belly bump a little hug and let him/her know that everything is gonna be ok, it is just time to take some extra naps.

Good luck, and peace out

I miscarried twins in 1990, and I spotted like what you described. My docter said for some women this is normal. When I was 3 months, I started spotting like I began my period. Bright red. I was filling up towels! I lost them both.
Yes, spotting is scary. I would call my Dr. every time I discharged blood.

Well having had a misscarriage I can understand your fear. Brown in color spotting is uncommon in miscarriage though. You have like a period in a misscarriage. But do take it easy and don't worry too much. You don't want more stress. If you feel crampy then go see your doc. Otherwise stay in bed and becareful.
