A lot of these people are saying mean things to you. Try asking the agency and if they say no, tell them you just want to know that she is okay. If you cant get it, I am sure she is fine and has been placed with a good family. I admire the courage you have for being able to do that. I tried that, but I just couldnt give her up. Good luck, I hope you get your picture.

First of all, did this adoption take place in the USA, or Canada? Laws are different in CDA. Was she newborn? Do you know which city the adoptive parents were from? Check the newspaper around that time - some adoptive parents post the adoption under birth announcements. You might try contactimg the agency, and they might try contacting them to get a picture. I know of a gal that does searches. Her name is Lou, and she is located in Hamilton, Ontario - International reunion Services. Explain situation-she might be able to help.

The only way I know to get a picture is to talk to the people that adopted her. Since this was a closed adoption it would make it really hard. Although, there might be other ways around it that I don't know of. I'm sorry I can't be of much help. I do however wish you luck and I hope you get the picture.

Ask some one else to do it. Maybe have someone ask the new parents. If you are really lucky they might even let you have a slook at their on-line photos. A lot of people store photos on line like at snap fish.

If you signed her away, you could perhaps ask the adoption agency for their address and request a picture via mail.
Ultimately, it's up to her parents to decide if they want you to have a picture or not.

It is probably in your child's best interest that you do not seek to contact her or do anything at all. Simply stated, leave her alone. You said you wanted to be assured she is OK, but I believe your real motive is your own interest. If you care about her like you said, I suggest you don't pursue this.
I apologize for being blunt, but think about this...

U are out of luck. When you signed those papers, that gave away any rights you had. You have no rights now to anything, I am sure you did what you had to do. You have to hold on to now what you Had.

because it was closed you might not be able to do anything about it, but try going to the lawyer that was in charge of your cases and see if he can't petition on your behalf a picture.
are your sixty days up? i think even in closed adoptions you get 60 days. if its not you might be able to change it from closed to open, get ahold of that lawyer!

Didn't you sign some sort of papers that prohibited you from doing that? Rest assured that they placed her with a good family.
