I'm not sure why they would. Atheism is as much a faith system as anything else you see in Religion and Spirituality. Assuming a separate category, I'd still come to Religion and Spirituality. I do know a fair amount about the religions I don't practice.

I'm not an Atheist, but if such a category were to exist, I'm sure the Atheist category would be flooded with Christian fundamentalist zealots trying to convert people to their cult.
As for me, I can not prove or disprove the existence of a God. I am Agnostic.

Yes. Besides, having a religion category doesn't stop you guys from swamping the science and philosophy sections with BS religious nonsense.

Yes, but I think I'd learn a lot in the atheist category (like bible contradictions, stuff like that).
Would you come to the atheist category ? -just to check it out.

we've an interest in discussing faith, because it does impact us all, no count if we like it or no longer, no count what united states of america we live in. many human beings are in contact with reference to the damaging aspects of religion, such because of fact the abuse of religious conviction by using those with a political schedule. maximum terrorists are no greater advantageous than pawns in a damaging game, being manipulated by using those without scruples. that's a necessity factor out the hazards and pitfalls of blind devotion, IMO, as a manner to doubtlessly stay away from such mess ups as have surpassed off such a number of cases for the time of historic previous and nevertheless proceed to on the instant. besides, some human beings (a minimum of I) choose to extra our expertise of alternative human beings--why they think of how they do, on what foundation have they have been given such solid convictions, and so on. and then from time to time we only get pissed off and humorous tale around. a number of the content published right here, by using theists and atheists alike, is downright stupid. This section is a robust outlet to blow off some steam, have some laughs, and in step with probability even learn something alongside the way. And the ideal reason atheists take area is via the fact if we left theists to compliment one yet another all day long with none opposition, resistance or counter-arguments, this section would grow to be no greater advantageous than an incredible massive circle-jerk, the place absolutely everyone only strokes one yet another and not in any respect learns something in any respect. because of using expressing our modifications in opinion can we are hoping to learn something. And on good of all that, this section is meant for the communicate of the matters. absolutely everyone and anybody would desire to be loose to debate any subject they choose to, somewhat while the themes to hand impact them in my view.

They would still come here because they get a thrill out of persecuting Christians... Besides they have to push their beliefs on others and try and convert others to their beliefs

Yes. The things we argue aren't all atheism related. Most are religion related. So we come here.
