one doctor indicated my BC is 8.70, yet my new doctor has prescribed Acuvue Oasys which only comes in 8.40. Can I wear these? thank you

BC stands for "Base Curve" and ranges in value from 8.0 to 9.5. The value matches the curvature most appropriate for your eye. The values are not the same across brands, e.g. a BC of 8.6 in one brand may not be equivalent to a BC of 8.6 in another brand. So, it is possible that you might be able to wear the 8.4 BC lenses, but I'm not an opthamologist or optometrist, so you should really ask your doctor. If the base curve is too far off from the natural curve of your eye, the lenses won't fit comfortably and may shift around.
