Let's see, at 10 weeks my baby had brainwaves, a heartbeat, and could kick. Her spine was fully developed and nearly all her bones were complete. I hadn't picked her name, but I knew she was mine. My baby.

17-22 days after conception the baby has a heartbeat, so I say yes it's a baby. "A group of cells" don't have a heartbeat. At ten weeks that's like 70 days.. so definitely a baby!!

Yes. Brain waves in fetuses brains can occur as early as 1 month. And it's a baby long before that. During partial birth abortions, the fetuses kick and scream and try to pull the scissors out of their heads. This indicates consciousness, even if it was too young to survive outside of the mother.

It is defineatly NOT a baby. It is just a fetus; a potential at life, and NOTHING more; just another fetus in the world which can easily be aborted. It is not a baby until 7 months when it is viable.

It is considered an embryo until the 12th week and then it is considered a fetus.

However, I believe yes. It has heartbeat, brainwaves, movement, and feeling. So I'd say yes.

It has a beating heart. it may look like a shrimp...but it's your developing baby...embryo...yours and your partner's dna...growing and changing every hour...I'd say it's a baby.
