When I was young i had it. My dad brought me to the doctors to get an antiseptic shampoo and after a few washes, the dandruff disappeared.therefore,i would advise u to follow suit.also, try not to scratch ur scalp too often though i know it would be itchy.

OK. First of all, most people think that flaky scalp is dandruff. Not true. Dandruff is a yellow, pasty substance that you have to scrape off of the scalp. It is also contagious and needs to be treated by medicine. If that is not what you have then I would suggest using a more conditioning shampoo and not washing your hair everyday. We lose the natural oils in our hair and scalp because we wash our hair too often. A deep conditioning scalp treatment at the salon would help too. A shampoo and conditioner that I would recommend is salon only. It is called Nioxin. Good luck.

Dandruff conditions result from irregular cellular activity: the cells in the scalp regenerate too quickly, causing excessive desquamation and microbial proliferation, which is often accompanied by itchiness. Stress, fatigue, pollution, imbalanced diets and epidermal sensitivity are the most common factors in the formation of dandruff.
PHYTHÃOL Force 1 shampoo rapidly eliminates dandruff and actively prevents it from reappearing. The secret behind its effectiveness: a unique botanical complex combined with a synergy of powerful anti-dandruff ingredients.

Denorex Shampoo plus Conditioner works great for me, but don't go out in the sun while you use it! Also, it makes the scalp tingle a LOT; FYI. Wash hair w/it for 5 straight days, then once every other day for a week, then once a week after that. Hope that helps!

Selsun Blue works great, but it's very strong. So, if you have already tried head & sholders and it did not work for you then selsun for sure will work...
If you have sensitive skin, you might want to consult your dermatologist beforehand
