No, I wouldn't think so. It may garner one a great deal of strange looks but a sombrero is one of the best sun hats I've seen. I suppose any non-Latino might be viewed as if he/she were wearing Mickey Mouse ears....but you don't hear people complaining that non-French folk are wearing berets do you? And there's an awful lot of fur hats (ie: Russian) worn in the winter around here. No one complains. It all is in the perspective of the wearer. Go for it you want! Keeps the sun off of you.

How about a hot sunny day ?
Isn't a sombrero a big hat ?
If it isn't a hot sunny day, why wear a big hat ?
The fact that it is a sombrero has nothing to do with it...
You wear a big hat at night, you get stared out...

Offensive to whom might I ask?I take no offensive to what ever you wear. I live in America where we have the right to wear what ever we choose.Would you find it offensive if someone other than a native of your country wore your native garb. I think you would find it a compliment. So be proud of your choices and wear your sombrero with head held high.

Many non-Mexicans were sombrero's when visiting mexico and entering back into the states..no, nothing offensive about it, you proberbly just like their hats, like other tourists...
Americans where head bands and they don't offend native americans. People wear those french hats to the side of their heads when they visit paris, and no one is offended, so it is ok to wear hats in general.

No, it's normal. Especially if it's your birthday at a Mexican restaurant and they bring you a free dessert and take your picture with your free ice cream and sombrero.
