When God made Adam and Eve, they were PERFECT, WITHOUT SIN. And the LORD walked with them in the cool of the evening. When they disobeyed God, they became sinners and were no longer perfect. Therefore they were driven from the Garden and worse, from God's presence. And all of their descendants (including you and me) were born under this curse of not being able to be in God's presence.

God is holy, and no one can stand in His presence with ANY amount of sin. And no matter how GOOD someone is, they still have sin in their life somewhere. Since ALL of us humans have suffered being estranged from God, and driven from God's presence by ONE MAN (Adam), it would take ONE SINLESS PERFECT MAN to bring us back into the fellowship with God that Adam once enjoyed. This is the only spiritually legal and just way. So, since God is a triune God - Father, Word, and Holy Spirit-- He sent His Word in the likeness of man, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. This "second Adam" would reverse the curse by his OBEDIENCE. This would counteract - even the score, so to speak -- Adam's DISOBEDIENCE. And thereby make it legal and possible now to have access to God personally.

The reason the Holy Ghost overshadowed a young virgin in order for this Son to be born was that SIN is passed from seed to seed. Man is the seed and his sons are his seed. So a human man could not have any part of this God/man Jesus. Women are more like the GROUND into which the seed is planted. Therefore, God chose a young virgin who had not known a man sexually, and planted the Divine Sperm into her womb. Since a baby's blood is the blood of the father, not of the mother, Jesus had his Father's blood running in His veins, that is, the very blood of God Himself.

So, jiust as we all have been born sinners by one man's disobedience, Jesus paid the penalty for all of our sins by His obedience. When you trust God's Word on this matter, and accept the LORD Jesus Christ as your Saviour from sin, and recognize the fact that He is LORD, then you will be saved. God will wash away every sin you have ever committed. Then, when you sin again (though you won't want to), you can go to God everytime in the name of Jesus, confess your sins to God, and receive forgiveness for that sin.

We don't get to Heaven for being good. Because none of us could ever be good enough to match God's goodness. We get to Heaven by trusting in the wonderful gift of salvation God gave to us through Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!

I hope I have caused you to understand better what the gospel is all about.

To develop faith you have to have spiritual proof, he died for our sins because Baha'u'llah is the apointed sucessor of Jesus, he will never physically return. All the religions are in unity and are connected like grades 1 through 9, there is no true religion, only the one applicable to the period in history of reavealment, the one for today is Baha'u'llah as he is the Return of the Revelation of God and the 1000 years of perfection is the Baha'i Faith.

Jesus was the perfect sacrifice - He had no sin - we all have sinned and fallen short of glory. He bought our way to Heaven.

God is our creator and loves us very much. As time went by we grew apart from God because of our wrong doings, our disbelief in him. He tried so many methods of getting our faith in him back by every time we disappoint him. Finally he sent his son Jesus. Jesus died for our wrong doings by being crucified. But his death provides a bridge for us to be with God again. Only through Jesus can we get to God. Why we need Jesus as bridge? Because what ever we do and no matter how hard we try to attain holy perfection we would never reach it, so we need Jesus (who is perfect) to help us bridge the gap to God.

When Adam and Eve messed up in the garden we fell from grace. We were apart from God with no way back.

Christ's paying for our sins, through propitiation, restored that ability to approach the Father through His son Jesus Christ.

yap,,, we're all accountable for our own sins. that's precisely why christianity is so void of morality. bad people who believe go to heaven, and good people who don't believe go to hell. only a disgusting, terrible, selfish, conceited god would make up such an awful rule. people who believe in that god have really screwed up brains.
