I hated cosmetology school. When you get into a real salon it is great. Its hard for some and easy for others. I had always had a nack for it and passed the bar the first time.I had good friends that had to go back a few times. It takes experience. The longer you do it, the better you get. Some people think you can just do it. It is more complicated than that.

It's not hard at all! You should see the people that go to beauty school. Not rocket scientists at all, but are still able to learn the trade and do very well! You go to a good school, they teach you everything, and it's a rather fun learning experience, I loved beauty school. Technically speaking it's not hard, but dealing with the public on a daily basis is never easy, you really need to have a special personality for so much public interaction.

You have to love what you do. I love going to work everyday. I love the challenges that are given to me. I also love the clients that let me be creative. I think the hard part is when someone doesn't like what you have done to them and you truley believe you have done something great for them. Or those that are never happy. You have to learn to get a tough skin. I went to school with every type. A lot of them didn't end up liking it after being in the business. I is alot of work too...

You have to have a passion for what you do, and in case of a stylist creativity would make you even more successful.... It should not be that hard, just a matter of time depending on if you want to attend fulltime or part time.

Hair stylist are like therapist. Your client sits in your chair and tells you the wildest things. It is kinda fun. You have to like to be on your feet and enjoy people. The school is really allot of fun too. I keep my license up but I don't have a shop anymore.

Make sure you are certain that it is something you want to do. If you have been doing hair for others and yours is done super nice then it would be for you. A lot of people learn and then drop out because they thought it would be easy. Its hard if its not what you want.

only if you think dealing with someone's response to a hair cut is a difficult thing to deal with ... if you don't care if they like it or not, I bet it's an easy job
