No, the recollection and experience of the material world, will seem like a fading nightmare, in comparescent to the unlimited splendour of the Spiritual world.

Nope.
The afterlife is eternal and never-ending. Going through my memories of 100 years (Hey - I want to live a long time, ok?) over and over and over, reliving all my mistakes and regrets? I am glad that is not going to happen, although maybe that might be the definition of Hell. Hmmm... I'll have to think about that.

The afterlife as I see it cannot be an eternity of reviewing and re-experiencing one's memories of time here on Earth.
I would not want to spend an eternity doing that. I would spend too much time remebering unpleasant things that I have done to others or that were done to me. I don't know too many people who are totally honest that would not admit to having some regrets in this life.
Thank God I don't have to worry about what eternity will be like.
I hang onto the promise that won't be the way it will be. See the following verses for the plain language of no more tears.
Revelation 7:15. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and GOD SHALL WIPE AWAY ALL TEARS FROM THEIR EYES.
Revelation 21: 2. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4. AND GOD SHALL WIPE AWAY ALL TEARS FROM THEIR EYES; AND THERE SHALL BE NO MORE death, neither SORROW, nor CRYING, neither shall there be any more PAIN: for the former things are passed away.
5. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

At the moment of death, you will be guided by light beings who will take you lovingly through your life review without judgement where you will get to understand clearly what you did right and what you did wrong. After which you will continue your journey to the other side for an entirely new set of experiences in the spiritual realm.

I thought that is what life was! I spend most of my life reviewing and re-experiencing my memories. And I keep adding to them, so it takes longer and longer and longer.
