Hi,
It could be a Lipoma. A benign fatty tumor. Your doctor can palpate
(press on it) , and let you know what you need to do about it.
Usually nothing is done with them. Pain, fatty tumors of the
tissue between the ribs can occur from strenuous activity in sports etc. Sometimes it is Costal Chondritis. Costal=ribs, itis=inflamation etc. I would still have it checked out. You may just be suseptible to that type of tumor. I have a small one below my clavicle for twenty years. Not even visible. But I know it is there.

Certainly a dangerous sounding phenomenon. You may be looking at some kind of tumor. Even malignant (cancerous) ones are painless. Of course it may be some skin growth or other occurrence. Nevertheless it would be extremely wise to consult a medical professional.
