You can buy one for about $40. In my area you can rent them from a rent-all place. It is about $5, and then $.50 per day thereafter.
If you have many, you may want to buy a couple.

I hope the mom is still around. That should be top priority, or there will be more.
Call the shelter and see if there is a spay/neuter clinic. Otherwise, the vet is the only option. That can be pretty expensive and there are actually many vets that will not work on ferals. Call around!!!!
Sometimes the only solution is to spay the females and leave the males. Sometimes it is a fund issue. At the very least, the females must be done.

costs will be different depending where you live - I mean you could live in Canada or AFrica right???

ok if they are young you can catch them by offering canned food - I have done this and its kinda tough (and yet fun if you are an experienced cat person) you will need gloves and canned cat food and a kennel - I did this with 7 kittens living under a shed (2 different moms had 2 litters one was 5 weeks old one was 7 weeks old) ok first we trapped and removed the moms.. then we sat with the food out of the shed but close enough they could smell it - eventually one kitten would get brave - I basically sat still with my gloved hand slightly above the food - when the kittens were engrossed on eating I would catch and toss into the crate - this took 3 or 4 nights because I could only catch 1 or 2 at a time before the others would be too freaked out....

anyhow you can probably rent traps from your city hall animal control or your SPCA -

most cats are spayed or neutered at 6 months of age if you want to do them earlier you will need to call the vets to see if they will do this - your SPCA may offer spay and neuter assistance funding so check with them
of course you dont want them euthanized BUT if you are not going to be able to provide food, vaccinations, deworming, and shelter for them it is probably less cruel for them to be euthanized now rather than suffer through cold winters and hot summers

incidentally I worked with my kittens to get them to be social they were taken to the SPCA (where I worked) and were all adopted out

Contact your local human society. They can probably direct you to where you can get traps AND direct you towards low cost spay-neuter. The cost of that all depends on who you use -- anywhere from $15 up to $300 depending on location, vet, etc.

Do you know how old the babies are? If they're really tiny, and mom's about, you might want to leave them alone for a bit and provide food for the mommy. If they're bigger and weaned, then it should be okay to trap them.

Blessings to you and major karma points for helping out these little babies!!!

My parents had the same problem. They did a little research and actually found a volunteer organization that traps that kitties and takes them to a vet to get spaid and/or nutered and get shots and/or get the medical attention they need. Then they give them homes if they're young or they release them back in to the wild. All of this did not cost my parents even a penny. The organization was so happy that my parents called them. My parents ended up keeping the cats in their garage. They're now very healthy and happy. :) Just search the web - you'll be surprised at what you find! Sometimes one source (ex, humane society) will lead you to another (volunteer organization).

call your local animal control..they may come out and set some live traps.. or may loan you one.. Those traps run around 65 to 85 dollars..if you buy them... Also maybe your local vet clinic can help you with some information.. there might be people who rescue cats in your area..i suggest making several phone calls before you do anything on your own..you may find someone to give you some help...good luck
