hey, i really want to get an inexpensive excellent quality laptop! price from 100 to 250 at most but if i really like it i am willing to spend a little more. if you could please say brand price and why you like it it would be much appriciated! ( and links are often a big help too) thanks!

$100-$250? NOTHING. Try Wal-Mart: I think they have some crapo computer there.
GO up to 800 and get an iBook: www.apple.com
well, get an iBook on craigslist or ebay, its the macbook now....

I wouldn't get a used laptop if I were you. A brand new one will probably run around 600-700 in the cheaper models. I would recommend a Toshiba Satellite. It's fast, cheap, and works well. The only problems with it are you may need to buy an extra AC adapter for it.

Well im sorry to say i doubt you would find a high quality working latop for around that price. You can find a great laptop at www.Tigerdirect.com for around $500 but i have also seen laptops going for as little as $400 also. I know its not the amount you were originally looking for but it is better to pay a little more now then have to pay alot more later when you have to do upgrades to your machine for any reason. this one seems very good for its price http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2301380&Sku=T24-S101.
and no i dont work for that online store, i just buy alot of my computer hardware from them dirt cheap. Thier prices are second to none. you wont find a decent lap top no where for $100 or $250 at the most. u cant even find them that cheap in a pawn shop...
my suggestion is a dell xps series ;)

Lady, the least you will be spending is $500. Should probably go with a Mac if you can afford it, or go with Dell; they have some reasonable stuff.

those prices are unrealistic except for an old used one ... you could get into a decent one for 6-700 tho with no frills.

best buy is havin' a back to school sale and they're selling laptops 4 $600 that's pretty cheap and they're good quality
