Well no. If I had a belief and the only way that I could make you believe in it would to put a guilt trip on you than that's a type of manipulation Ive used to persuade you. Its not of sincere motives.

What do you mean 'allowed'?

Nobody should ever deliberately make you feel badly for not believing the same thing as them.

However, if you feel like you are wanting to be a Christian but haven't yet done so, being friends with Christians may show you a way of living that you want (or it may not because they might be very hypocritical... hey, it happens because Christians aren't perfect either). In that case, they aren't "making you feel bad" for not being a Christian... it's just that their lifestyle and relationship with God is causing you to realize that you would rather be a Christian than not.

I suspect you are talking about the first thing I mentioned, though (i.e. people ridiculing you or leaving you out/austicizing you because you don't believe the same thing they do)... This is inappropriate and disrespectful behaviour that no Christian should partake in.

True "Christianity", at its core, welcomes all and treats everyone with respect and dignity (regardless of faith or lack thereof) !

Just my two cents :)

This question is so poorly phrased, I don't think that anybody can be sure they are actually addressing the question that was intended, or, like a political candidate who is pursuing his platform of indoctrinating impressionable young minds via the mass media, addressing the points he wished to make while only pretending to answer the question, or perhaps even without having understood it at all. So I will own up and say that I'm not quite sure I understand your question. Would you please rephrase that?

Oh, the Christian God. All right. Well, the Bible does command Christians to preach the message, and this includes the proposition that all men are sinful enough to go to hell and that Jesus alone can save them from that fate. So if Christians are consistent enough to obey that, they are just being consistent.

In a sense, it is not surprising that everybody feels bad for not being Christian. Many Christians-- including myself!-- wish we had become Christians much sooner and regret having waited so long. I feel bad for not having become a Christian sooner.

But I don't dwell on it. God brought me to the point where I became a Christian in His own good time. I suppose that some Christians don't beat themselves up for not having responded to the message of salvation sooner. It isn't a necessary thing to do in order to be saved.

I believe you meant to say, "Are people who believe in Jesus Christ Saviour of the World, allowed to make you feel bad for not being a Christian".

Answer: No, they feel that way on their own. Many are called but few are chosen. If you are feeling bad about not being a Christian, become one. Go to Jesus Christ in prayer and tell Him you want to make a change in your life for the better. Tell Him you choose life instead of death. Tell Him how sorry you are for being so ignorant that you waited so long to answer the door when He knocked. Repent now and be saved. Time is about up for this Earth Age and Our Lord Jesus Christ is to make all things new, that includes you. Get out of the water and into the boat. A word to the wise is sufficient.><>

People who are Christians should not make non-believers feel bad for not being Christians. In fact they should not even call themselves Christians because that is not Christ like. And that's what's being a christian is about having the likeness of Christ. That's what make people not want to become Christians. Some people forget that Jesus sat and dined with sinners. And people questioned him. It was not the believers who needed him, but the sinners. I hope you get what I'm saying.

Well really you can do whatever you want and been christian they think they have EVERY right to try and SAVE your soul...
If you dont believe in the christian religion then dont worry about them! A true good person will respect you no matter what beliefs, choices you make, and they wont try and pressure you into anything! This is why most religious people are not true good people as they are always trying to push there beliefs onto you and change who you are! Your fine the way you are!

I am Roman Catholic and i believe that if they make you feel bad for not being christian, they are not really doing their job of loving their neighbors. I am religious and regularly attend church but making another person feel bad from a different religion is something that i have been taught never to do since i was a baby. The priests in my church have Rabbi (spell check) Friends and they all support diversity. As long as you are fine with your situation, no one has the right to judge you except God.

God wants us Christians to do his work here on Earth but I don't believe that we are to try to make you feel bad that you are not a Christian. God gave each of us a free-will and we have to decide for ourselves what we want to believe or not believe. God doesn't want any of us to be forced to believe and that is why he gave us free-will.
Unfortunately, some Christians are so wrapped up in religion that they try to force Christianity on other people.

I share my faith, and I know a lot of people who share their faith - some do it in a somewhat prideful way but I have never come across the "try to make someone feel bad " approach, so I am not 100% sure what you mean by make you feel bad- what I do want to know is, whatever you believe, if you are truly secure in your beliefs and you are sure, then how could it be possible for someone to make you feel bad by telling oyu what they believe- it seems it would not make a difference to you one way or another. If you are 'feeling bad' then instead of pointing a finger at the one sharing, I would be questioning what I really believe and why and why what they are telling me is stirring something up in me.

they're allowed, because they are people and some people are jerks no matter their belief. a christian shouldn't make you feel that way--if those are the kind of people that are approaching you and attempting to minister, tell them you don't need their kind of stuck up hypcritical religion.

christians are supposed to be open minded and loving. however, that isn't always the case.

i'm sorry that ti happened to you.

Only you can make yourself feel bad. If you truly believe what you say you believe why would you feel bad because someone else does not agree with you. Discussing religion frequently leads to disagreements but if you want to discuss religion you should prepare yourself for disagreements since there are so many opinions and no one knows for sure.
