Have a queen-sized bed to move, mattress and box spring. Have a 97 Explorer and a lot of bungee cords and rope.
Which goes on top?

you should put the mattress on the bottom because it is fleixible and the box sping is more rigid and wont allow the mattress to bow and flex as the wind hits it as bad. if u put the mattress on the top then the air will get between the box springs and mattress and cause it to curl up which in turn will hurt your mileage and mostly likely will loose you bed. hope this helped you.

I'd put the mattress first, the box could cause some damage to the car roof and the mattress will help against sliding or bumps you might encounter.
