Would present-day AI, which has the intelligence of a three-year old child have a soul as well? What about the brain-dead, does Terri Schaivo have a soul?
What about the devil, does he have a soul?
And what about aliens, if they exist would they go to heaven?
Do angels have souls?
So if angels have souls and Satan was an angel, doesn't that mean he still has a soul, since souls are enternal, right?

SO many questions in one! The short answer is, I don't know.
To the AI question, I tend to think no, because the soul is a gift of God, whereas AI is created from the minds of man and isn't actually *alive* by the present definition.
Brain dead people like Terri Schaivo do have souls. She was kept alive long after God called her home. I imagine that her soul was still in her body, but more-or-less asleep.
Aliens, if they exist, would have souls too. I assume that they would therefore go to Heaven. Who knows how God has revealed himself to them....
As for angels and Satan, since God created them and they are spirits, I would think that they have (or are) sould. So if angels have souls and Satan was an angel, then Satan would have a soul too.
But like I said before, I really don't know. No one does.
OH yeah! I almost forgot- YES fetuses have souls! They're human!

Human beings are the only creation of God that possess a soul, cited in Genesis 2:7. Scripture is silent concerning Angels having souls, they are created beings, but nothing in scripture states they were endowed with soul. A fetus at the moment of conception has a soul, because it is passed on through the parents. The soul of a brain- dead person is still present, until the soul departs at death. As far as I am concerned the existence of aliens is still disputed, so the point is mute until uncontested objective empirical evidence can be revealed.

I think fetuses have souls. AI do not have souls they are not alive. Brain dead people have souls. The devil is a fallen angel and angels have no souls. Aliens would be gods creatin and they have souls and would go to heaven if they were good aliens. Angels have no souls. Humans have a soul at conception. So yeah, fetuses have souls. Terry Schiavo had a soul, even after she became brain dead. AI is made by man, not God, so it doesn't have a soul. If there are aliens, God would have made His own arrangement with them. Maybe they're without sin and live in their own Paradise all the time, who knows?
As for the devil, I think he willingly destroyed his soul with hatred for God. But you may need to talk to a theologian on that.
You know, technically we should get about 14 points for answering all these questions! ;-)

Well OK an unborn child has a soul about 4 to 6 week after conception. Up to that point they are little more than a clump of cells. The brain dead yes. weather or not it's still in there body is hard to say. The devil, yes he does. if you believe in a biblical scripture he will suffer in hell one day and in order for that to happen you have to have a soul. Angels do to so... Now aliens that would be hard to say because it depends on what the alien is like. If they are "more like humans" than yes they probably do. if they're "more like animals" than no. they're just going to disintegrate into waist.

I can't answer for aliens.. Don't know any & I'm not one.
However.. all humans have souls.. Unless of course you sold it to the Devil.
From the time of conseption a fetus is a human life..
All human lives have souls.
Yes Terri Schaivo had/has a soul. & it is in heaven with the Lord where she belongs.
Your body is just a shell..
Your soul is what truly makes up Who you are on the inside.

The theologial response and rational would be:
angels/Djinn are crafted from fire and air and thus are all spirit or all soul all energy.
aliens/humans are material/physical and energy/soul upon death physical decays energy is release as soul/spirt
computers are all material and all physical so in this formula they could never have a soul no matter what level AI they attained.
reguarding Terri ,if you asribe to this equation that I have presented then she would be a badly physicalmaterial body with energy/soul still inside.
I don't know if I belive half this shite my self but just an equation I put together to answer your question as I belive every good question deserves a good response and every good response deserves a best answer...hint hint :)

only humans have souls. the bible says the angels can never understand what it feels like to be "redeemed" (meaning that jesus died to save the lives of HUMANS, not angels.) Satan is an angel (fallen) so he doesn't have a soul in that sense......and if aliens exist which of course you are being facetious and i get it, lol, they would have to have a separate redeemer for their own planet! :)
but yes, all human beings have souls, terri schaivo, the brain dead, those born brain dead or stillborn, severely mentally retarded people, even child molesters have souls. but that last group is the one i have the hardest time believing they do :)

Everything has energy and every living thing has a soul in birth and death. I depends on what the beings purpose on Earth is. In both Toaism, Christianity, Judism, and Confucism all people have souls. Some souls are evil and some are good. Some people sell their souls. Some are pure and some are dark. Babies are always born with a pure, good soul and killing a baby before it is even born is evil and will cause the loss of one's soul.

There's probably more soul around than we'll ever know. For all I know the Sun, Earth, Moon and all other heavenly bodies have souls. A soul is like an indivisible division, which makes it one and all at the same time and all the time.
In a stricter sense nothing has a soul, it rather is the soul that owns all.
