canned vegetables are usually high in salt/sodium. Frozen is better, fresh is best.

any vegetables are good for you, but you need to remember that canned vegetables are alot higher in sodium. so if you have high blood pressure or any other heart problems, i would stay away from those and stick to fresh vegetables instead. otherwise, if you have a healthy heart eat canned vegetables, but dont do them in excess or else you risk having a higher sodium level, which could drive your BP up as well.

Anything canned isn't as good as it is when it is fresh or steamed. That is because canning would mean it contains preservatives or is very high in either sugar or salt.. which is not very good for health.
Vegetables are good for you but they are best if you consume them FRESH.. and it would be best to take organic vegetables because you absorb 5 times more nutrients :)

"The season for locally-grown, fresh vegetables is here. They're good sources of vitamins, and have gained higher status than processed vegetables. But there's nourishment in canned and frozen vegetables too," she says.
"Perhaps when we say that heat, air and water destroy vitamins, we give the impression that all the nutrients are gone," Darling says. "But many of the vitamins are still there, and sometimes in greater amounts, depending on how a serving is measured."
What you read on the label is trustworthy, reliable nutrition information, Darling says. She used data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to compare the vitamin content of a serving of raw, fresh cooked, frozen cooked, and canned vegetables.
She compared broccoli, tomatoes, green beans, green peas, carrots, turnip greens and spinach. You can check it out for yourself at www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp.

There good for you because their a vegetable but between fresh, frozen and canned...canned have the least nutrition in them. Plus a lot of them have a large amount of salt in them...so when you can have raw or steamed. But if you don't have that..canned will work just fine....
So eat yer veges...their good for yah!

canned have been cooked, so therefore have lost some nutrients. of course fresh is best, the next best would be frozen. they are merely blanched before the freezing process, retaining most of what's good in them. but canned veggies have the shelf value addition going for them, and of course, are still good for you, as well. eat 'em all!!

They lose alot of nutrients when they are canned. Go for frozen or fresh. Frozen is just as good as fresh actually.
