My daughters and i cut our hair every two years. We wait until we have about 15 inches below shoulder length and we then donate it to lock of love which is a program that will turn the hair into wigs for people that do not have hair due to illness. So we do it for charity. We are hoping next year when we cut it to each be able to donate 25 inches.

People cut their hair for a variety of reasons:
-Some cut their hair for a new style to look good
- Some cut theirs cos the weather is hot
- Some cut theirs because they want to look neat (not everyone can take the shaggy look)
- Some cut theirs to feel more refreshed
- Some cut theirs as it is symbolic (I always cut my hair when I break up and feel better after that)

I've been a hairdresser for a few years now and so I thought this would be a good question for me to reply to. Brace yourself here's the list of why.... split ends, new look, pick me up feeling, they think hairdressers are therepists, their friend cut their hair while they were sleeping, thinking it will make them more attractive, hot weather, well, I could go on but i hope this answer helps you a little.

Style reasons? Girls like different hair styles. And I guess so do some guys. And I guess shorter hair on guys looks a tad cleaner. Also, it keeps your hair healthier to get it cut every once in a while. Get rid of split ends and knots.

To keep it short (cutting it doesn't really make it grow that much faster, since you are cutting it! It still grows at the same rate, so it takes longer if you cut it a lot - but it will be healthier)
I cut my hair to keep it right at my waist. I think any longer would be too much...

Most women like men with short hair because it shows he has style, cleanliness, shows his face, self pride in appearance
Long hair is too warm in the summer
Long hair gets caught on everything
Short hair is harder to pull

to keep it healthy, and pretty, and some people prefer short hair because it's a lot easier to manage than longer hair.
