It can be scary at first, but it really depends on how confident you are in yourself and how much support you're willing to get. I recommend that you read some good books and watch some good programs on television to find out more about the "teenager years". Many friends I know regretted what they did in middle school only when they got to university. Try not to make that mistake.
Looking back, I think I'll discourage you from that "getting a boyfriend" fling, because it's going to bring you more trouble than you'll know now. Most of your friends are still driven by hormones and rumors and ecstasy, you see, and that's a bad way to base your decisions on. You'll end up paying a big price later on.
Here is a statement I found helpful: Success is making decisions early and having the discipline to stick to it. (paraphrasing John Maxwell) Have your future in mind and tell yourself who you want to become. Then stick to it. Expect lots of opinions and persuasive arguments to be thrown at you, but make the RIGHT decisions no matter what.
That's the best deal you can have to get yourself through middle school.

Middle school was one of the most trying times for me.You will care alot about what other kids think of you and make wrong and stupid decisions because of it.You will probably be introduced to drugs and sex in more detail. The best advice I could give you is to always have a good influential adult around or someone a little older than you who you can always talk to.There are goog things abou middle school too.I met my best friend in the 6th grade.I also learned a lot because some of the older kids took the time to show me around and be my friend.I would say it's something to look forward to.

If you are seperated from your friends in classes don't worry you'll make new friends, I met my girlfriend in 1 of my classes. MIddle School teachers aren't as bad as they make them out to be i elementary, just do your homework, study, follow the rules, and pay attention and you'll have no problem with teachers. If you want a boyfriend go ahead, even if people say it's a waste of time part of the middle school experience is going to a movie or the high school football game on the weekend with your boyfriend, Middle school is supposed to be fun have a boyfriend if you want.

that's so not true. in middle school, people do get together, but nothing major happens. at my school, there were a few couples, but it wasn't really that big of a deal. high school is when more people get together.
but middle school still sucks. especially those silly crushes you hear just about everyday and the fact that you have more than one teacher. most couples that get together barely STAY together for more than 2 weeks and most relationships have no point. it annoys me watching other people think that they are actually in a relationship with some hot guy and that they actually think they're cool. yea, and you know the shows on t.v. where someone likes someone else and they actually get together and kiss? yea, that kind of stuff doesn't happen.
for me, it sucked so bad and i'm going to high school next year. lucky me.

Don't worry too much, if your school is like the one my kids attend it opens a few days before school starts. When you know your schedule, go to school and make sure you can find your way from class to class. Have a plan to meet up with some friends at a certain time the first morning of school, so you can all conquer middle school together!

oh gosh hun. I remember I did some of the stupidest things in jr. high. I had a crush on this guy so I used to move my desk as close as I could to his. My advice is no boyfriends because when you look back at age 20 like me you see it was a waste of time. My advice would be to be responsible and learn all that you can. It's a rough time with everyone going through puberty. Be yourself, don't give in to others stupidity.

Middle School is a tough time. That's normally when you get the sadistic teachers, the stupidest (5-10 minute) romances, the worst enemies, and... oh, every boy in Middle School is a moronic asshole who trys to get laughs and "Streetz cred" by saying "****".
Sorry to burst your bubble. Just wait it out for High School. It's better.

Middle school is fine just make new friends, do homework, listen to teachers, basic stuff like that. Middle school is just like elementary school just that you need to rotate classes. I understand how you feel cuz' I just finished 6th grade.
