I saw on the web where they make a splice type repair kit with a turnbuckle in the that allows you to tighten it. Does anyone know where I can get these? Other than pulling them out (no an option) and replacing them, what should I do? One runs East-West the other North South. They intersect each other.

Call the structural engineer that designed the slab.

I would not want to guess at what to do or take the advice of a lay person. I there were a failure later you might be held responsible. Putting rebar next to it might be one option but if you have broken the insulation on the cable I am sure that will have to be repaired as it is there to prevent rust which could eventuraly result in failure.

If you don't know who designed it call engineers in the yellow pages,
I think you will probably find one to answer your question about the repair kit and where to get it with out charge.

I am a contractor in California and I have heard of the system but I have never seen or used it.
