Be glad you are questioning this--it is more than just something you can start, and then choose to stop.
Brushing your teeth after throwing up stomach acid would be like trying to dry off while standing in a waterfall. The acid is much stronger than what is usually in your mouth, and would do extensive damage each time, before you could get the toothbrush into your mouth. And, the acid could get between teeth, in your gums, and do long term damage.
Leave that for the rare times you throw up because you are sick.
If you have body issues, find some healthy solutions--you can do it. if you are strong enough to think about doing it in a harmful way, you are also strong enough to do it in the RIGHT way.

If you brush your teeth after each and every purge, then you might can prevent tooth decay, however, you might not always be in position to brush...like at a restaraunt or somewhere other than home. I've been bulimic for 11 years and am just in the last couple of years been having problems with my teeth. I thought when I first started purging that I had found the ANSWER to my weight problems and I thought I could control it. Well, here I am 11 years later still binging and purging. My advice? Don't ever start. It can become very addictive. Dental problems are only one of the complications. I've been hospitalized twice to to electrolyte imbalance...caused from purging. Pumping potassium back into your system is painful. Don't ruin your life with this disorder!! It is so not worth it. If your having problems, please seek help now before it gets out of control.

Ahhh . . . you are breaking my heart. This is a terribly unhealthy thing to do to your body, and also a terribly unhealthy thing to do to your mind and your heart.
The body: your stomach acid is hydrochloric acid, pH 1.5. That is INSANELY acidic. Not too much of anything can live at that pH, . . . including the cells that line your esophagus and your mouth, and your teeth. Bulimia can not only cause you to lose your teeth, but can give you esophageal cancer later on.
The mind: every time you binge and purge, you are training yourself to focus on things that will cripple you all through your life - looking perfect to everyone else, measuring yourself and your self-worth by others' standards, looking at yourself very superficially. As you look at yourself that superficially, you will also begin to look at others that way.
The heart: Bulimia is an addictive behavior. Don't think you will be able to just stop when you want to. I have a brother who struggled with this for YEARS. He became a slave and was able to become fee of his bulimia and the obsessive behaviors that accompanied it after 3 months in an institution. He nearly died. Please don't do this. Don't sell all that is precious and valuable about who you are into that kind of slavery.

You screw up your nutients by puking and stretch out your cheeks. You also digest alot of the food, so getting skinny isn't always possible. You will then feel like puking after you eat, possibly for the rest of your life. Besides, puking is nasty, and doing it all the time is going to make you look sickly. Sickly girls are not hot. I repeat sickly girls are not hot. You need to work more on you confidence, style, and maturity and just stay a little bit fit, and you will be just fine.

look brushing your teeth wont help any cuz you're basically burning them away with the acid in your stomach! then, once a person is bulimic, it is VERY hard to get over it. if a person was bulimic for a year, they wouldnt just STOP. its not that easy.. and plus, a year could be way too long and could be deadly..
i dunno why you're asking these questions but dont ever become bulimic ok? theres healthier ways to lose weight!

Um, the teeh I guess wouldn't be so much of a problem if you really brushed, but you'd definitely mess yourself up from all the throwing up. Besides, it's not only the physical sickness that's a problem - it's the psychological stuff.

Actually, brushing your teeth immediately after purging is worse for your teeth - it spreads the acid around and makes its work easier. Instead, you should wait at least an hour.
Of course, you really shouldn't be purging at all.

You ask a disproportionate quantity of questions. See which you presently have seventy two factors; you began with a hundred maximum remarkable? so which you need to respond to questions extra - a minimum of three for each question you ask. whether you do not have a good answer, human beings do it for all time. or you need to vote a good purchase. point 2 is so a strategies as you need to get, basically so which you would be able to value human beings (esp. in the event that they "attack" you).
