Just because one clinic screwed up does not mean every other abortion clinic should be held responsible.
My opinion is that abortions are acceptable if the mother has put a lot of thought into the decision. However, I do feel that it's irresponsible to rely on abortions as a form of birth control. Otherwise, I feel that women have every right to get an abortion.
As for the limit of how late an abortion can take place, I feel that it should be once the fetus is at a point where it could survive outside the womb without major medical help. I pick this time because that's when it seems to be its own person, seperate from the mother.
This is just my personal opinion and I'm sure lots of people have opposing views. However, please keep in mind that an abortion isn't a joyous event. It's a very sad experience that requires careful thought. People who have abortion have major reasons for making the choices they make.

I didn't read the article - I will after I say what I want about abortion. With my last child I got my first sono. done at 12 weeks and he was already perfect. I could see his arms and legs and face and everything - his hands - At 10 weeks you can pick up the heartbeat. But the heart actually starts to beat earlier then that. How could you say that it was ok because it is just a fetus - I am sorry, but it is a baby from the time of conception. It can feel, breath, and has a heart beat from the very beginning. Abortion at any stage is wrong. Just my opinion.

State Laws on Abortion, in regards to Funeral Home Directors, by: The Department of Human Services.
It is wrong according too man and Christianity.
1.) When a fetus weighs 11.3 ounces, or 20 weeks of term, whichever comes first. The baby dies, it has to have a Birth Certification and Death Certificate.
2.) When a fetus is less than 350 Grams and dies, it needs a Fetus Death Certificate.
3.) A fetus/baby is a live human being after it meets the above criteria, according too law.
4.) a nonlife needs no Death Certificate. [ It had to be a Life, to be declared dead.]
5.) A baby is a live human being even according too man, and will remain so, until man's law changes.
6.) By man's own deffinition as too Life: You tell me who is contradicting themselves.
7.) A fetus/baby is a live human being at conception, according to God, and will remain that way until YOU or someone else proves with the Word of GOD, that it isn't.

Wow, some doctors screwed up, everybody stop everything you are doing and overhaul all the abortion laws!!
You know there's some cops that have raped women in the line of duty, maybe we should eliminate the police force?
The girl wanted an abortion. Eventually a fetus will never need to be in a uterus to be viable. So that criteria is useless. If the baby was cut up in an abortion attempt but survived, and the next day was born, I have no problem with them getting rid of it.
Women in primitive cultures have babies in holes in the ground and walk away, when they have too many mouths to feed. It's NONE OF MY BUSINESS!

I found a less 'biased' source for this story with a bit of checking. The odd fact that they mention she was unarmed (why would that matter?), and the various quoted officals (most of whom names are mispelled in the Lifenews.com article), leads me to believe that the 'quotes' aren't authentic.
However, both news stories together to paint a rather grim picture. An abortion clinic with a history of abuse and legal issues is made clear, and a public criminal investigation may be underway pending autopsy.
Does this make abortion ITSELF unacceptable? No. Does it make the ACTIONS and MEANS of this particular clinics methods of commiting abortion unacceptable? Yes. Did this young woman obviously need a lot of help, and has gone through some significant trauma?
I honestly don't know that. I don't know the poor woman in question. Check my source link and other local Florida papers for more info on this article.

I personally dont think women should have abortions after the first trimester unless it was medically necessary. Having said that, that is my OPINION and I would never tell someone else what to do with their bodies. I think the story you posted is bogus. Maybe if it came from a regular news source and not an anti abortion site I would give it more credit.

I think it is a terrible shame what happened to that woman, and her baby. I think that abortion is a horrible crime against nature, but the reality of this world is that women need the right to choose. Without the ability walk in to a facility legally and have the operation performed, how many tragedies such as the one in the article would go unreported?

There are thousands of stories just like this one. The sad reality is that people choose to have abortions not because they give a rip about the child but for their own convenience.
Most pro-choice advocates simply turn their heads and keep on supporting the genocide, that's the sick twisted world we live in. A people that have no moral foundation based on God's laws simply make their own up, right becomes wrong and wrong becomes right. One day.........they'll see... and the reality of their decisions will be unbearable.

Yes to your question. btw, 23 weeks is nearly 6months and well past first trimester. 12 inches long and 3 lb?? sounds more like a keilbasa that a baby. Maybe if good doctors were not harassed and intimidated by the religious right wacko's, abortions would be done safely and properly. Keep trying to ban abortion and there will be more and more stories like this. (assuming its true).

Well, do you think this woman would be able to raise this child after being scarred by that?
Most likely not.
Many people that aren’t ready for kids, and don’t want strangers to raise their kids.
That particular facility may have messed up big time, that’s why you need to be responsible and you protection. She may not have been able to if she comes from a family that wouldn’t allow it because of their religious beliefs.
Weather or not that happened she was adult enough to get pregnant and should have been responsible enough to do research and choose the right clinic.
