My husband was digging a ditch today in our yard and he has a huge blister. Is there anything that he can do about it.

the best thing to do is not pop it- the fluid inside helps to protect and heal the skin underneath...your body will absorb that fluid back naturally unless it pops on it's own, in which case use a little antibiotic cream and cover it with a bandage to prevent infection.

since it's on his hand it might be hard to NOT pop, so if you do, be sure to use a needle that is either cleaned with alcohol or heated up with a lighter (to sanitize it), then just place one or two small punctures and allow it to drain...and again, use antibiotic cream and cover it.

If you have them, take hydrogen pyroxide and por some out into the bottle's cap. Pour some over the blister and dip a sowing needle into the cap full of peroxice. Wait 10 seconds and pop the blister FROM THE TOP!!! this is where the skin is less sensitve and will heal evenly. thaen place a bandaid over it, other wise leave it alone and use a compress. The peroxide will reduce the chance for infection and P.S. Only poke the needle far enough in to puncture the liquid then squeeze it out, GO NO FARTHER!!!@!!!!!!!

what can he do about the blister put some aloe on it and deal. But for in the future this may sound odd but put some deodrant on the spot in the shoe that caused the blister it prevents friction from occuring. Works great for high heels. Hope his boo boo gets better. This info is from Laura not David, just so you didn't think the high heel part sounded wierd. Good luck

A blister is a bandage, leave it alone after washing the effected area, then when it pops cut the dead tisue away and let it heal, kepp it clean and lightly covered... ooh! wear gloves or dig more gently.

clean it well! take a needle and run it through a flame (like a lighter) after cleaning it with rubbing alcohol. take it and insert it horizontally into the blister. make sure to only go through the top layer of skin. pull it out and take a kleenex and press the puss out of the blister slowly. once it is all out put neosporin and a bandaid on it and make sure it stays clean. hope he is alright!

Usually ice or some kind of cold compress works, use it in moderation.

Leave it ALONE. You may be tempted to pop it, don't pop it. If it does pop, use something like neosporin and keep it COVERED!

We souldn't do it, but I always pop it up, clean it and put a band aid on. Always worked so far.

put a bandaid on it, don't pop it, dirt and stuff could cause infection.
