Nobody is against immigration. People are against ILLEGAL immigration. Let me explain it to you this way.
There's a movie theater and the Greatest Movie of All Time is opening. Everybody wants to see it. Tickets go on sale a month ahead of time. The richest people buy tickets up in the luxury area in the balcony. Most people buy tickets in the general admission area. Almost all of the tickets are sold except for some that are on sale the day of the show at the box office. There is a long line for these last tickets and people are waiting hours to get them.
Some people that dont have tickets, dont want to wait in line. So they sneak into the theater. The people in general admission want them to leave. "Go wait in line and buy a ticket like everyone else!", they say. But the rich people in the luxury boxes are the only ones that security will listen to because they pay off security. And the rich people see an opportunity. They tell the people that snuck in to sell candy to the general admission people. At first this works out well because the rich people don't have to pay the sneakers as much as the theater pays it's concession people. Therefore, candy is cheaper for everybody. Soon word spreads outside the theatre that if you sneak in, you can make a little money selling candy and see the movie.
After a while the theatre is as overcrowded as an LA city school. Because of the all the extra body heat in the theatre, due to the sneakers coming in, the theatre owners have to turn up the air conditioning. They make an announcement saying, "Because we must run more AC everybody must pay an extra dollar for their ticket." All of the ticket holders pay the extra dollar. Most of the sneakers don't pay, but some do (especially if they have a fake ticket) hoping it will help them not be noticed.
At this point, a lot of people that paid general admission can hardly see the movie because sneakers are standing in front of them. The general admission section gets more and more upset, but the rich people don't care because they are making too much money from sneakers selling candy for them. Besides they can see the movie fine since they are up in the luxury boxes.
The general admission section gets more and more agitated and pleads with security to throw the sneakers out. "It's not fair that people are waiting in line for tickets and these sneakers just sneak in and crowd the theater. My child can't see the screen becasue a sneaker is blocking her view. I had to pay extra for AC."
The corrupt security guard says, "Calling them sneakers is wrong. That is mean and prejudiced. You must call them 'unticketed patrons'. They just want to see the movie like everyone else. It is unrealistic to throw all these unticketed patrons out now. Some of them have seen half the movie already and want to know how it ends."
"But sir", protests the general admission guy, "they snuck in. They don't have tickets."
"Well, we must give them a path to a free ticket, since they're already in the theatre. Besides many of them paid for the extra air conditioning. That shows that they are honest people that just want to see the movie. We should pack extra chairs in here for unticketed patrons to sit in. Anyway, without them, who would sell candy? Do you want to go back to paying $1.50 for your M&M's at the concession stand? The concession stand is closed now. The unticketed patrons are doing jobs that theatre workers will not do.", says head of security Gorge Wuss.
"The concession stand only closed because they can't afford to sell M&M's for $1 a bag. They have to pay their workers more than what the rich people are paying the sneakers."
Many of the sneakers are getting angry at the ticketholders. "You were once outside the theatre too. Why don't you leave?", they say.
"Well, we bought tickets.", say the ticketholders. "Get out of here, go wait in line like everybody else, and buy a ticket. If they're sold out, you might have to catch the next show."
The sneakers begin rallying in front of the movie screen. "You just don't want us to see the movie. Why, when we are a theatre full of patrons? All of us are patrons of this theatre. You don't appreciate all that we contribute to the theatre. Without us, this theatre could not function. You need us in here. WE BUTTER YOUR POPCORN!"
I hope this helps you see how absurd your argument is. It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with respecting the law and having immigration at a rate that our country can absorb. That way it's better for everybody. If you're here legally, ggreat, we're happy to have you. If not, go home, get in line, and aapply for legal residence in the US. Or go home and work to make your own country better.
There are people all over the world trying to do it the right way. Why should we let some people cheat, while good people are waiting years to come here.

If there is a job for everybody, then why do we have an unemployment rate? Why do some people go weeks or months without obtaining a job? (And I'm talking about the ones activitely searching for one, not just sitting on their butts complaining about it.)
Additionally, a lot of us who are against illegal immigration aren't jealous of any particular race that comes over the border. We're just sick and tired of working hard, forking over our hard earned money on ridiculous taxes, just so's we can pay to educate, medicate, or feed someone who's not even a legal citizen and making it that much harder for us--the LEGAL citizens--to make use those services when needed. We're disgusted with the increase in crime rates and drugs, too. And, I for one, am getting sick and tired of being looked at like *I'm* nuts because I don't speak Spanish. (Yes, I know not every immigrant is spanish-speaking...this is the best example I have since I live in deep south Texas.)
Furthermore, it reaaaaaaally pi$$ed a lot of us off to have a ton of illegal immigrants protesting OUR LAWS in OUR STREETS all because they don't like the possibility that something might be done to finally stop the freeloading. (I realize that not everyone in the marches was an illegal alien, so don't even go there.) They can't take the time to march their a$$es down to the immigration office but they can take the time to complain about our desire to curb their bull$hit? How much more insulting can you be to the people who've foot your bills and to the hand that's fed you for years?
Even better...at a lot of these pro-immigration rallies...not only did they not speak English the vast majority of the time, they waved flags of THEIR NATIVE COUNTRIES, and of course there's the whole debacle that was made of our national anthem. Yeah, they really love and respect America, don't they? They love the freebies, that's all.
So tell me again why I or anyone should want these illegals here?

Mexicans All over the world celebrated their newest holiday, Uno de Mayo. Immigrants stayed home, in protest of laws prohibiting them from getting rights. Good call spics. Way to prove you work hard, by not working.
Usually when I'm trying to prove a point, that's EXACTLY what I do... make myself look stupid.
This affected my day in the worst way possible: my fast food wasn't as fast. All the gringos were making and serving the food and I had to wait longer than usual. But the quality was fantastic.
What's even worse is the protests they all put on that day. Even better idea. Get half a million illegal immigrants piled in a closed city street. Good call again, makes it easier for Immigration Police to round all of them up.

I could care less as long as they are LEGAL. Why would we be jealous? It is not immigration we hate it is illegal immigration. There is a huge difference. It is not fair to the people that had to work their butts off to become citizens while some can just come on over. I'm not the least bit jealous of criminals.

I'm not the Least bit JEALOUS of you. I'll go so far as to say you might be a good worker. My problems with you are 1: You came here ILLEGALLY<---- Please don't attempt to Justify breaking our laws. 2nd. You Stagnate wages. Employers Know you will work for less and it hurts wages. 3rd: Your a strain on our Health care system. Several Hospitals across the country have closed for this very reason FACT: 4th I'll say many of you who enter may be law abiding citizens Aside from breaking the law upon entry BUT, there are ALOT of criminals also, Thiefs, Rapist, Child Molestors. Of all the Issues I have with you Illegals Jealousy Wouldn't be one of them.

People are upset b/c they come into this country and don't respect it. NOT ALL but alot. Any illegal immigrant neighborhood I have seen is a hell-hole. Children running in the streets at all hours, dirty buildings and just a lack of respect. I am moving to Hazelton Pa, where they want a community of people who respect where they live.

First of all, Its gotta be a lot riskier to cross the border ILLEGALLY than it is to apply for a work visa if you wanna work so hard, second, PAY your taxes like the rest of us REAL workers.
