Life in Lubbock, Texas, taught me two things: One is that God loves you and you're going to burn in hell. The other is that sex is the most awful, filthy thing on earth and you should save it for someone you love.

Seems like it to me. I think Christians make sex something wrong and dirty, then when they get married it is dificult for them to express themselves sexually. I think it is sad. Religon shouldn't be about punishment and suffering.

I am a christian I was never taught that sex was an awful dirty thing but to be shared between a man and a woman and noone else therefore you should be virgin upon marriage for this is right not dirty or wrong but if you are like most people who didn't wait you aren't goijng to hell just go on with love and don't dwell on the past

Where did you find this quote? For one thing, it's not a quote, and there is nothing that says sex is filthy. You say you have been taught two things but you named three. What do you really want to know?

No, 1) God loves me and saved me and I'm going to heaven.
2) Sex is a gift, and an enjoyable, intimate thing to be shared between two people who have commited to each other in marriage.

what a loving God we do have! He gives us His word and teaches us how to live. He warns us what is to come. What other God will do that? He gives us the pleasure to enjoy sex with our mate the person we marry. We have a good God. Its everyones choice to ignore the word, the signs that have came in the past and the signs now.

God takes no pleasure in punishment of the wicked--you CHOOSE hell if you choose to reject Christ.

Sex in itself is not dirty. It's to be saved for marriage. To do otherwise can make you miserable...adultery can shatter your marriage, fornication makes it more likely that you'll wind up in a divorce down the road if you marry. Either one of those can result in STDs and/or an unwanted pregnancy.

I don't believe in hell, and I don't think sex is "filthy." It's only filthy if it doesn't mean anything. But yes, you should save it for someone you love. THEN it's beautiful.
