what is good hair?

a lot people think that good hair is long and straight yet when your hair isn't permed or isn't long it's bad hair. i hate when people say that because there is no such thing as good or bad hair

Welcome to ignorant America. Brainwashed people who base beauty from European standards will say good hair just as you defined it; long straight hair. I wear my hair natural (not chemically altered) and yes naturals wear "good hair" T-shirts for the irony but "good hair" is hair that is you, its healthy, you can rock it, and you are confident. Just because hair is curly, nappy, course, whatever you want to call it doesn't make it bad, it makes it that more delicate, fragile, unique and like non other.

So I'm sure you've heard this term since you were young and that's why I think it is a brainwashing along with the media. But you will see a change and it can begin with you.

Everybody has different views of what good and bad hair is. Some people believe that straight long easy to handle hair is good and frizzly short hair is bad. Like I said everybody has different views. In my opinion good or bad hair is how the person takes care of it. If a person has long hair and never brushes it or takes care of it then that would be bad hair because it would be hard to manage, same thing if a person had short hair and figured that they didn't need to bother with it because it was short they would make their hair bad. If a person had long or short hair and took care of it then it would be good hair. I believe that it is the person that makes their hair either good or bad if there is such a thing.

Im a hair stylist and good hair to me is hair that is health, in good condition, be it straight, curly, long, short.

Bad hair is hair that is extremely over processed with any type of chemical including bleach and color, broken and damaged...that could be straight, curly long or short hair.

my hair is naturally pin straight and (at least to me) long... though most people prefer that to how i style my hair.

try saying that to someone who does not like there hair. my hair i like. but i met lots of people who don't like there hair. stays frizzy no matter what, stuff like that.
