They only live for three days. If they are in an area were You dont want to use raid flying insect killer, which will kill them in seconds.Then spray them with Lysol disinfectent, that will disable them long enough that You can kill them anyway You like.Usually they go toward a window. That is a good place to trap them.

since they fly so erratic and fast,it's difficult to chase them.put something such as a cookie on the table as bait.hide in the corner and wait for it to land.then swat it with the fly swatter.the amount of time a housefly lives depends on their living conditions.i saw a housefly and didn't bother to catch it.about a week later,i found the dead fly on my shoe.apparently,it got lost/trapped inside my house and starved to death.

Not sure about the lifespan. I think it's about two weeks.
I prefer not to kill them. I swat with a rolled up magazine to stun them, then toss them outside. NOT SQUISHED. I figure if I squish them I am eliminating the stupid ones. Let 'em breed, they're easier to control.

They live about 3 days. When swatting one aim slightly behind them as they initially take off backward.

I'm not sure how long they live but I've been chasing them all over the house today. They don't live long around me. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ... Seriously, I can't imagine what their purpose is except to fee Iguana's.
