i got drunk when i was 15 and started really drinking at 17 and im fine and i have no problem buying it for a few of my friends who are still technically "underage"(18-20), when we go out. that law is wrong and thats why most people ignore it

Be glad honey what a compliment
not to push the issue
Ever see a drunk female
those drinks are awesome and yummy
but when you fall off a stool
and smell like a distillery
it is like damn is my wig on straight
Just sip on something at home
or with friends that is not so hardcore
that will just mellow you out
And old enough for what ...sex?
why become a garbage can
to catch all that free sex trash.
You do not have to do what everyone else does
be different
Do not become a lustful drunk and end up being
Old Betty Brown wearing a yellow wig backwards
Soar high without being high
Be high on life
without drinking
and without looking for Mr good bar

Yes, but the standard 18-year old (or even 21-year old for that matter) is so irresponsible about drinking that they shouldn't be allowed to do it legally. It's a fact. I know everyone under 30 will dispute it, but when you get older you'll realize it's true. There's a big difference between carrying rifle and being a responsible drinker. And yes, I've carried a rifle.

An age limit for drinking isn't what it's all about. Responsibility ia what it's all about. I know people that are well above the age limit that has no responsibility. Getting drunk is best done when you don't drive. When you can just pass out where you partied. So whatever your age be responsible and save your life. A cheap high is not suppose to be a death sentence.

I think it should be raised to 25 if anything. 21 is too young, and I feel old saying it, but I live close to a big party campus (SDSU) and have heard horror stories about college kids drinking themselves retarded and hurting people, or getting themselves killed or thrown in jail. I've even known some of them. Those years are hard enough without alcohol, why make them worse?

Drinking age used to be 18, at least in NY, too many kids got drunk and killed driving their cars. Hence, age increase.
Now, your arguement is if you are old to enough to fight for your country, you should be old enough to drink. My question is, are you fighting for your country. Or maybe they should change the law, if you are in the military, you can buy alcohol. Would that be better?
Ronin...wrong, my son is 20 and had to go to an underage drinking class, 3 days, 3 long boring days according to my son. So no, he can't drink either and I don't hear him whining about it.

Spoken like a true under age drinker.
Does anyone here think that if you're old enough to drink, you're old enough to collect social security? Same stupid logic.

If you're old enough to get married, old enough to fight in a war, and old enough to vote...then you should be old enough to have a beer. (And when you do these things...ya need a beer.)
