Burning Downloaded movies to a dvd?

Question

What are the steps to take a downloaded movie that is saved on my hard drive to burn it so i can play it on my dvd player with my T.V.

I think i may need to change the code of the file and also i may need to shrink the file so it will fit onto a dvd cd

Use DVDFab to decrypt the DVD and then use DVD Shrink to burn it to a DVD. Mine all play fine in my player.
