Probably not till after the wearing of underpants on the head stage I expect. At least it will look a bit less ludicrous!

The trend originated among low economic fashion when young boys would go to see fathers, brothers and friends that were in jail. While in jail they take your belt away, causing the pants to sag. People picked up this style as a tribute to their incarcerated friends and rappers really popularised it when they started glamorising jail and committing crimes.
Girls, on the other hand just do it because they are following a horrible trend.
I teens will wear clothes properly when we finally teach them that being in prison and being slutty is NOT cool.

Well, grandpa, kids will start pulling their pants up when they learn that lecherous pervs like you are staring at every pantsless *** in your neighborhood.
Seriously, I see your point, but don't be a lame old guy. People have stupid fashions, and this generation is not the first to have one. There is no use or need for guys to show off their underwear and boxers, but it's their freedom to do it.
And for you to tell girls to not expose their thongs it just- criminal.

If you are holding your breath that these hoods will ever wear a belt again...inhale. It has always been the time to pull the pants up. I thought all of this showing your biscuits business started with these nasty black rappers...they think that everyone wants to see their business and so these little teeny boppers think it is ok to follow the lowest common denominator in fashion. It is sickening to see kids dressing as if they stepped out of a dumpster.

that is soo funny you should say that ..my 74 year old deceased father thought the same thing..we would go to the mall so that he could go and buy the things he needed and didnt need.....and he always had a comment for everything..like so many parking spaces for the handicapp he would say you have to park over by the highway because of so many handicapp spaces..if they are so many handicapped folks why are they at the mall..stay home....I would just grin.. then he would see those boys showing their boxers with their over size pants to their knees..and a long belt.. he would say,,geez why do parents let children come to town in there pajamas.. I guess they dont figure that those children represent them out here in public...I said that is the fad...
he said..well you dont see the people who design those clothes out in the public like that ..they all wear 3 piece suits made by Armani...you dont see them out here in their pajamas..Do you??
he would say... I say my part ,..my family better not go out there showing something they arent supposed to...and embarrass me..that is all I got to say...

Well, I'm a guy, so I don't mind the girls pants down, lol, but when I was young, boys with their pants down was a sign of stupidity. Now it's 'cool' If I were a girl, I probably wouldn't mind it.

That's a strong generalization. I'm a teen and I don't show my *** crack O_<. It's unneccesary. And yes, I do think it's time for other teens to pull their pants up, but I don't think they will until they feel like it. That's just the way we are. We like to experiment with our newfound induviduality. We're just realizing that we're different people than our parents and friends.

The belts will be worn properly again when the pants are designed to fit somewhere around the waist instead of around the a$$ crack.

Hopefully before their 20's. One day they will wake up and surprise us all, wearing regular clothes that fit properly and with a belt. This is a fad for this age right now but they will grow out of it.

Fads --- they come and go with each new generation.
And the funny thing is - the 'old farts' always say - 'we were never THAT bad, were we?'
I can remember when thongs were called 'g strings', and only worn in sleeze joints, where stripping was the main attraction.
