Any sort of starvation period is going to cause more problems than solutions. If you go 12 hours without eating, yes, you may notice a difference on the scale, but that will be because you lost some water weight, which won't affect the way you look at all. Yes it is a bad thing. Starvation doesn't work for permanent weight loss. Like all the experts say.. the only way to truly lose weight is diet and exercise. Eat better and eat smaller portions.

Yes it's bad, especially in this hot weather it's important to stay hydrated and eat some protein. Your body needs fuel to function properly and stave off disease and infections. It's OK to miss an occasional meal, but it won't help you lose weight. You'll actually gain weight because your body will go into a starvation mode and keep every calorie you ingest.

it slows metabolism and causes a net weight gain..Fasting is a spiritual tool among Christians for increased spiritual strenghth..If used by really strong people it can be used to clean out arteries and prevent heart disease, by fasting 2-4 days a month you can burn off all the plack and fat in your arteries, but for general wt loss try lo cal regular diet, and lots of wt bearing and aerobic exercise

if you are trying to do this DONT it will affect you and after that you will have stomach problems and you will faint. trust me.. you wont lose anything since its only 12 hours you will only lose enerygy. although u might lose half a pound.
