First of all....these televangelists are very atypical of most preachers. Most preachers don't make that type of money and they have given a black mark to the thousands of decent ministers out there. They are not out there for Christ. For many of them, their ministry is their God, and they have forgotten the true reason why they are in the ministry. A good question to test the waters here would be if they were willing to give up their television ministry or not.
My father was a minister who made $100 per week in the 1980s for 30 hours of work per week (small church). Which was in addition to working a factory job during the day. When our church had its rent raised on the building he took a wage cut to $75 per week. And this was for a person who took 3 years of college training beyond high school (the school was a 3 year Bible curriculum).
My father is not unusual. Many pastors I know work more than one job. It's not an easy life to be a real pastor. Notice I said a real pastor.
Unlike the high profile televangelists.

Ahh the good old days.........I remember hot summer days, much like how it is now, and sitting in my Aunts bedroom (the only cool room of the house, because she had an AC Unit. We'd be watching the 700 Club or what ever was on the ..... whatever that channel is called, I don't remember. I can remember Jan coming on the television........PRAISE JESUS! Oh god what a sham all of that is. She'd look striaght into the screen and say "Jesus Loves You".
As I got older I'd laugh at her. Her hair......make-up. She's kind of scary looking.
Funny, thinking about all of that, I can even remember the smells. Of the room and the house.

Ever since Tammy Faye Baker . . . . . . I don't know what they're thinking.
It is my opinion, only mine that I can claim, that they are so engouged with money that they don't know what to do with themselves. . . . . . . . . it kind of freaks me out. And I'm a Christian!
I hope that she has a mind for Christ is all I can think of.
But whatever her sin, I hope that God can forgive me for mine. I have faith that He can, because He said that He can.
Since I don't watch TV except at other peoples houses, and they don't watch her either, I am spared the exposure.
I'm embarrased by what they do on that channel. Most preachers on television I really don't give a minute, even when I see them.
"Christians... this is where your money goes."
NO. Not mine. But you know what? She can wear all the makeup she wants to, if she starts preaching the word of God better than anyone else it will. I do not need to think that someone that preaches is somehow sinless. I leave that kind of stuff for the legalists.

Sure, she probably thinks she looks great. And the TV viewers dont seem to mind. Seems like you have too much time on your hands there hateful little buddy. Why not start a new hobby? Or go call a friend? Or don't you have any? Oh well.
Also, what is your infatuation with the phrase "crack whore?" Is it all you know? Can't you do better than that?
BTW: I'm not Christian, I don't send money anywhere. Get your story straight. Youre an idiot.

I am a Christian (ba), but i whole heartily agree with you. Jim Baker did not get enough jail time in my opinion-but these scoundrels are getting away with millions and so is Benny Hinn. They should all be prosecuted.
