I live in a wooded area, and the trees in my backyard are high. Recently there's been a swarm of blue jays nesting in these trees. these blue jays have been swooping down at my father and i and my cats. I've heard stories from my girlfriend, about them pecking at her uncle on his head, and I fear my cats may have been attacked by several of them. Besides cutting down the trees, and/or getting my hands on an automatic rifle, are there other ways to get rid of 'em?

if you don't like rifles which is not the best for birds anyway a shotgun is your best bet sounds like they're nesting and will leave when the little ones are ready
