I think it's a control thing and an EGO thing that guys always want to drive. If it's your car - you should decide who drives! Don't play the submissive role and let him decide. If he takes it for granted that he SHOULD drive just because he thinks "HE'S THE MAN," then I think you should gently point out how irrelevant that is when it comes to driving. You might be surprised by his reaction, he may like it if you chauffeur him around. If not, oh well, it's your car and like you said you make the payments.

Because their a guy .. If they drive it means to them they have power or whatever and also they think it makes them look cool to drive your car because either they don't have a car or there car looks like crap!

I hate driving. I enjoy having my husband drive me around so I can kick back and enjoy the scenery.
