i am going to the mariens and my girlfriend who is 6 months pregnante will not give our baby up for adobtion and i am telling her that it is the best thing to do because i want a life in the marines and she is going to ruin it and she is being selfish for not wanting to give the baby away. I told her she need to but she wont i am not ready to be a father and this baby should go to someone that can take better care of it though my girlfriend thinks she could do a perfectly fine job i asked her why she did not want to give the baby up and all she had to say was that i should have mention something sooner and she said she is already attached to the baby and could not give it away and she was crying though i did feel bad about making her cry she told me she has already got things and picked out the name well i want my future and i dont want this kid and she is being a dumb B**** how can i convice her to change her mind?

As a woman(without ant bias), i have to say u are very wrong!
U should put yourself into her shoes.. If a baby comes out from your body, how can u give a life away which has lived in your body for 10 mth?? Common sense.
And u said u are not ready to be a father and have no time to take care of the baby. WHAT ARE U THINKING HAVING A CHILD IS??? If u are not ready, u should not sex with her first and make her pregnant! Only have a child when u are ready, don't u understand? I think u are too short-sighted and childish; U are like a spoiled child yourself. A mature man should at least think of it.
Ok, i'm not trying to scold u or what, just be frank.. Wait, u 2 are not married is it? And your parents do not know about this is it? Sh*t, see what u have done.
Ya u are the 1 who is selfish; Dragging an innocent girl into this. Well get married as soon as possible since she is already 6 mth pregnant. As a punishment to your childishness, u have to go for work and earn money for your wife and child. Think of your marine thing later, maybe 5 or 6 years later. Anyway u still have the chance to go for it. Take this as a lesson, grow and be mature my dear! Don't hur the poor girl again and give her happiness, not sorrow. Take the reponsibility.. Giving your own child away is the worst thing a man can do

You can't tell her how to feel or control what she will do. She has as much right to her view to keep the child as you do with your view in not wanting it.
If you make it sound like it all revolves around you she's not likely to listen - she's got her own life (and the child's) to worry about - why would she put your desires over own? Suggest you tell her your concerns straight up without insult, and out of the child's best interests.
Go and join the marines if that is what you wish. Just be prepared to live with that decision. Your girlfriend may also have to live with the consequences of being a single mom.

Ok you are really young.
You are too young to have a baby, true enough.
You don't really care about your girlfriend, no really you might care about her in your "way" but not really.
Just leave her as you will eventually.
It's her body. You can't change her mind.
If you didn't want to be a father you shouldn't have slept with her.
No excuses. You play you pay.
You should feel bad for making her cry.
You should respect what she does with a life that comes from her body and respect that it's a new life not open to toss away because you don't want it to "mess up" your life.
Just leave her and hope the Marine's make a man of you.

Hay man get a grip I kinda felt the same way when my girl was pregnant (not being a dumb b****)Anyway my son turn out being the best thing to ever happen to me .
Beside that's why a lot of man join military branches to provide for there kids so stop making it sound like its a bad thing .Her having this baby would be a good motivationfor you to make it back in one peace.

Good luck in the marines. You shouldn't have to convince her to get rid of the child you and her made. Don't take this wrong. Do you still want to be with her; even if she wasn't pregnant? You can still being in the service and have a child. I think no matter if you stay with her, or if you give the child up for adoption you should still try to be involved in their life. Try to make the right decision, and it won't affect what you do in the military after you sign your name. Good luck what ever you choose.

you should have thought of all this when you got into her pants. having premarital sex ruined your life, not her keeping the baby. you both made a mistake and now need to be responsible for your actions. being responsible for a child is overwhelming, but that is what happens when you make poor decisions. marines will teach you to be a man and be responsible, but you need to start being a man now. can't always push your mistakes on others and a child is not something to throw away because it is an inconvenience for you.

u r the dumb @ss here, not her! first of all u need to grow the f*ck up and take responsibility. any idiot knows that when u have sex u take the risk of pregnency. if u r old enough and mature enough to handle having sex then u r old enough to be a father. if ur not ready for the risks then dont have sex. second of all, being in the military will alow u to give the kid benefits like free health and dental. i know these things cuz i was in the army. i dont have a kid myself but i had a lot of people in my unit who did. one friend of mine stayed in just cuz he was about to be a father and he wanted to be able to better provide for his daughter. now grow up and quit being a selfish jack @ss! one more thing learn to spell, its MARINES not MARIENS!

Well, it is technically her decision. Why not try talking to her calmly and try to look at things from her perspective. It sounds like you are being a tad bit selfish as well. Just try to calm down and approach her with less anger. And how does her having a baby stop you from joining the marines?

You are one very selfish "man". It took two people to make that baby so dont lay on of it on her shoulders. All I read in what you wrote was about ME ME ME ME. She would be alot better off without you anyway. If you want to be a marine, learn how to spell it first. God what an ***.
