Most of the "deal" is the hype that advertisers employ in order to get you to try their product. But the difference between Ovaltine and regular Chocolate Milk additives is that ovaltine does have more vitamins and nutrients that ANY of the other products. It also doesn't taste as sweet and comes in regular and malted flavors.
Personally, I can't stand the flavor of straight milk (hated it since age five) but add a cocoa flavor and I will drink it for the calcium. When you get the added bonus of the extra nutrition in it without losing the flavor, I am all in favor of it. I don't even bother buying the other stuff which contains lots of sugar and very little else. I will admit that it doesn't do as well for use as a syrup on ice cream, but it does work well when added to your coffee to make it into mocha.

I love the malt flavored Ovaltine. When I got real sick and couldn't eat anything, I forced myself to drink that in order to halfway keep my strength up and it helped a lot. Great stuff.

Ovaltine is the best tasting chocolate milk ever-and it has more vitamins and minerals than other chocolate drink mixes.

Me, my husband, my four kids, and all their friends LOVE ovaltine. It is healthier than putting choc. syrup in your kids drinks.

What do you mean? It's a chocolate drink mix that contains extra vitamins so it is healthier than just using Nestle Quik or whatever. I give it to my kids because at least they are getting some vitamins when they are craving chocolate milk.

In the most annoying voice you can muster say.."More ovaltine please!" This crap is gross. The comercials are so annoying I wouldn't drink it if you paid me.
