Central America between Nicaragua and Panama (just north of South America). On the little strip of land that connects North America and South America.

It's a very beautiful country, you should definately try to visit it sometime. There's gorgeous beaches, rainforests, etc.

It's a place where thugs come up behind you and strangle you, and while you are barely conscious, remove your money from your person. I speak from experience, and according to the hotel employees when I reported it, it happens to tourists all the time.
