I do not know how you go away for soooo long at a time. Be careful and come home safe, because we love you.

Coleen H i just wanted to write this little thank you note for myself and for all the men that are still in harms way, any time on this forum that i happen to come across something that touches me the way that your heart warming thoughts have i feel compelled to respond in kind, ma'am i spent 26 years in the military and have been away from my family more times than i can count, and coming home to my wife and sons after extended periods of time is a feeling that words just cant explain, also those feelings of warmth and care that good people like yourself express towards our vets means more than you will ever know, these two things that i have spoken about FAMILY and FRIENDS like yourself all help heal the long and sometimes horrific memories that trouble many of our combat veterans, so once again i say thank you from the bottom of my heart and God Bless.

Thank you for your support. My father was mobilized to go to Iraq when I was 15... I'm 19 now and he's not home yet. He was on base for a few months, sent for 2 years to Baghdad and then has been in the hospital ever since. It's been very hard... he left when I was an underclassman in high school and now I'm getting married in 5 weeks and it's been so hard not having him there for so much of my life.

I live in NYC and I've taken a lot of crap for being from a military family and it's really good to know there are people out there who think about us and consider our families and the troops like that.

Thank you.

While I am not religious, I will still say, God Bless and know that there are people thinking of you! And if anyone is interested, all it takes is a few dollars to send a care package to our troops. I try to do so every so often but sometimes forget. It's quite easy and you don't have to lift a finger to go to the store and buy it or go the post office and mail it.

It will make someone smile.

Thank you for giving this reminder to our YA YA Club.

I have been wearing a handmade beaded American Flag bracelet since Day 1. Unfortunately, it is pretty shabby as it has been on my wrist way too long and will come off when our last soldier is home.

My bracelet gives me a daily reminder of our Service Women and Men and I say a personal silent prayer for them whenever my bracelet crosses into my vision..

God Bless our Troops and God-speed back Home.

We Love You!!

Most soldiers don't call their duty station home. So, for single soldiers, deploying to a war zone isn't much different than being stationed in Germany, or Texas.

They go away for so long because they know what they are fighting for. Freedom from terrorists to land on American soil and harm their families.
