No, I think you can feel both good and bad... the bad (for me) usually comes when I realize that I'm not living according to God's plan for me in one way or another. I also feel bad when I think about other people sometimes, about the state of the world... so, no, I don't think you have to "feel good" to believe. But ideally, the good feelings you get from a church or religion (like feeling that there is a greater power watching over you, like there is hope for the future, or whatever you believe) should come more often than the "bad" feelings. There *should* be an all encompassing comfort in your faith... imho

Feeling good is a by-product of church and believing. I can honestly tell you that every time I go to church I cry tears of joy. What could be more wonderful than knowing there is a God who loves and died for you?

I think people generally feel good in church, but when the work-week resumes, that good feeling melts right away. Too bad it doesn't last - hey, it sounds like I'm describing being on drugs!

If I can help someone, I feel good. I don't need a church
to do that.

Hello rick28139.. :)
It is not that you HAVE to feel good to believe..
But you do feel, Love, peace, joy, kindness, goodness, gentlesness and humbleness when you do believe.. :)
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

No, I'm sure church isn't working unless you're miserable.
