I know someone who is having issues with excessive hair growth under the skin. She is only 35 and has always had clear, beautiful skin. Recently, however, she went to get a facial which then ended up bringing out hairs from under her skin. She pulled out those few hairs only to find tons more under her skin. These hairs very in length from a few millimeters all the way to two inches long and vary in thickness, color, and texture. They can be blond or dark and are sometimes like bits of cotton ball fuzz. Can anyone tell me what this is and how it can be treated? Thank you!

Unfortunately, she has already been to the doctor and that didn't help. Also, the hairs aren't really visible beneath the skin, but they do get really itchy.
