OK.. Well do you have gel that's the question.. if you do then take a shower and when your hair is wet then tip it upside down and put gel in your hand then rub it in between your palms then scrunch away well your head is still tipped!

get some curling mousse... apply the mousse to damp hair and then comb through your hair.. then use a blow dryer on low and scrunch your hair with your hands as you are drying it. to get the back hang your hair upside down and scrunch hair while blow drying... after you have scrunched and blow dryed your hair until its just about dried, then spray a ligh mist of hair sray over your scrunched hair, but after that DO NOT COMB , BRUSH, or F*** with it at all or you'll end up with the birds nest again!
Ps. remember to go light with the mousse and hair spray otherwise you will end up with hard crispy hair that isnt feels like straw!

I've recently discovered mousse.... rub some mousse on your hair, I recommend Tres Emme Extra Hold, while scrunching it in your hands, upside down... then you can either let it dry on it's own (not recommended in humidity) or you can diffuse it with an attachment.... it's really easy, but the mousse is what works the miracle...
There are also some other products out there, like anything Frizz-Eaze that work too, and something by Garnier Fructise...
Hope this Helped!

you need product...use some sort of curl activator. As you blow dry (with a diffuser - the big round attachment), scrunch your hair in your hand and keep scrunching all over as you are drying.
ps If you blow dry with a straight dryer (without that attachment), your hair will get bushy, hence birds nest.

wash your hair and take a blow dryer and just scrunch it in your hands till it is damp, and then put mouse, and the work it really good into your hair and then keep on blow drying it while scrunching your hair till fully dry, then hair spray and scrunch. if you want more curls and look better get a one and a half centemeter wide curling iron and curl the hair that you want fixed.

Do you mean crimping?
Braid your hair when your hair is wet. Braid only the part you want crimped! Sleep with the braids and take them out in the morning.
OR you can buy a crimping iron (a good one will cost from $20-$50)
The crimping iron is easier and works better, but if you don't want to spend the money, do the braids. They take longer, but a lot cheaper!

Some hair just isn't meant to be scrunched...you can buy appliances similar to straighteners or curlers and they are made just for scrunching, so why don't you try and get one.
