The problem is with a common modern theology of rewards. This thinking, purported by modernists who reject the historical church, attempts to pursuade one that there is a direct correlation of your moral behavior to your current circumstances, or your lot in life. This is the theology of the Sadducees who did not believe in the resurrection - they were looking for "rewards" from God in this life.
If you study the early church fathers and stick with the church that Jesus established here on earth for us, you will find answers.

I know so many Christians who believe that God is meddling in every little detail of our lives. So whenever anything bad happens they agonize over HOW could God allow this? Why did he do this? WHEN is he going to answer my prayer? Etc.
The bottom line is that there are 6 billion people on this planet, and you and I aren't any higher up on God's list than any of them. 1 billion of them are right now suffering from malnutrition and in danger of dying from a hunger related disease. When you add in poverty, childhood diseases, war torn areas, disabilities, etc. you begin to see that life is filled with suffering. Suffering is the human condition.
And yet, many Christians I know pray to make that next sale, or for a raise, or that God will help them get that new car they've been wanting. If it happens they praise God and if it doesn't they say it must not have been God's will. How silly it is to think God is like a genie, there to grant us wishes.
Life is filled with both good times and bad times, but it will always be a struggle in one way or another. When we learn to accept that and to regard both the pleasure and pain as part of the bargain, and begin to appreciate life as a learning opportunity rather than a vacation, then we can begin to understand the things that happen around us, rather than having those things control our emotions.

We only grow when we are tested. Every difficulty we overcome makes us stronger. Why ask for anything in this life when your reward is in the next one? Bad things do happen to good people, in fact in this world it seems that the more wicked you are the better off you become. But God cannot intervene if Free will is to be respected. And it will all work out for the best in the end in any case. So don't worry about how you think things should be; understand how things are and it should make you more compassionate and understanding to your fellow human beings.

There is a time for everything and God never gives us more than we can handle. If someone has faith in God then they need to give it all to God and tell him to lead them and help them with their decisions. Maybe they are not praying about things before they do it and then it falls out from under them. Sometimes we have to go through hard times to have more faith and to be stronger in our relationship with God. Trust me I know. just because you are a Christian doesn't mean your life is going to be stress free and you won't have hard times. You have to keep your faith and in those times it is hard to do so, but remember you will get out of it and everything will be ok. Remember the little things as blessings too, not just the big things.
Just remember you can't tell God how to answer our prayers. You can't say - God, I really need you to help me with this - and then tell him how to do it. You have to trust that what he says and how he says to do it, is right and follow it. Sometimes he doesn't answer our prayers the way we want, but there is a plan and what we think is best for us, may not really be what is best.

We are God's eyes and hands and need to do whatever we can to fight what is wrong in the world. We also have to remember that God's way is best even it doesn't agree with us. God's plan for us and this world are like the back of a tapestry...it looks messy and doesn't make sense, but when you turn it around it creates a beautiful picture. Just know that God always has your best interest and He is protecting you.

there is no perfect person here on earth. We are human and at times we have more questions and trying to find the right answers is the difficult thing to do. Have you read the story of Job? It would be nice never to suffer but the devil is out to get those that believe because he knows where he will end and his followers---in hell; its in the Bible. I can give you one example of one man here on earth that has lead many to Jesus---Billy Graham--- the Evangelist with Parkinson's disease---it will take his life day by day. Can you explain why, probably not but it has to happen.

We need to accept that God is in control.
We can pray for acceptance.
There is a book by Dr. James Dobson, Focus on the Family; When Bad Things Happen to Good People. I think their site is www.family.org.

everyone needs to understand that no one is perfect, but Jesus. Many things will come our way, always trying to stay on the right path can be hard. Some times situation are out of our control. To keep yourself focus on the positive and making the best out of the issue, will help you to do the best and be the best you can be for yourself and those you love and love you. Times can be hard, but what do you want for your life. Hang in there, he's coming soon.

I do think the same thought sometimes, I will tell my self "maybe just maybe god don't exist" then Right a way I'll be asking god for forgiveness because it is a sin to say that , so I just let go of this thought and life goes on.

I hope that someone else gives you better advice than I can give, for all I can think of is, "the more you think it, the more you believe it". Which means, keep telling yourself that God is in control, and when you pray, praise God that He is in control and knows what is best long term. The more you think it, even if you don't really believe it at first, it will begin to wear on you, and eventually you will believe it. I'm sorry if this advice is pathetic!

It is hard to accept bad things in our lives, because we were created to live good, and forever, the bad stuff was not part of God's plan, and unfortunately since Adam's fall we have to live with the consequences of living in a world that has been cursed by our own actions.
Keep you head up, have faith and God bless!
