How does one become a zookeeper?

I'm entering my freshman year in college and wanted to know what kinds of classes to take and what I would have to be studying to be a zookeeper for large animals like polar bears and big cats. Also, what kind of salary would such a job come with? Any answers would be great

You need to get a degree in Zoology. If that's not possible, then take biology classes -

take a lot of biology... maybe even some veternarian clases if they are offered..or medical classes. then go to Africa..steal a lot of elephants and put them in a cage which is like the zoo then you keep them....and wah lah...zookeeper
