Oh brother, another site confused about how to delineate the books of the Bible. Look, some books are history, some are prophetic, some are poetic, some are letters to a specific person, and some are books of law. Thinking that since Jewish Law in the days of Moses commanded the stoning of children for certain infractions somehow means the Bible does a poor job of conveying Christ's love for us is ludicrous. By the way, where did you get the assumption that the Bible is "a book of love". On the contrary, it is a book of war, lust, greed, liars, cheaters, and all other manner of evil. Indeed, we read of the greatest evil ever in the pages of this wonderful book, but we also read of the greatest sacrifice ever. You really should try reading it, not just cutting and pasting the link to your favorite Bible bashing website.

The bible is completly wrong, Stop letting other people tell you what to believe. If it were true why would such a loving god of second chances let unbelievers burn for an eternity. People who believe in the bible can't even agree on a single church. every single church thinks its the only thats getting into heaven. The bible which was not even written down until around 100 A.D. was only taught by memorization up until that point, so many things must have been lost or mistold. Another thing that can't be right is the disciples writing the new testament. If they were fishermen they would have been to uneduacated to write. Now I am not a satanist or anything like that. I have been in christian schools most of my life, I just learned to think for myself and realized its a bunch of crap. Another thing is the catholic church kept the bible from the common people for hundreds of years. Now thats seems a little unchristian to say the least. All relegion does is get in the way of society by creating wars.

Something to consider: the Bible records the culture and legal system of that time period. Just because executions and stoning occurred in the Bible doesn't mean that it's always the right thing.
Jesus was actually against stoning. When an adulterous woman was being stoned, he asked everyone stoning her if they were less guilty than she.
And sometimes violence is necessary to stop evil. (for example, from executions of serial killers to wars against slavery, Hitler, terrorists--sometimes there is no other choice --at least, no one has come up with a better working plan so far)

The Bible is a book about Gods love toward one group of people who constantly rejected his love and killed his prophets, so God opened his love to everybody who would just believe and follow his Son who lived as a human to show that it wasn't impossible to live sin free. The anti-christ tried to stop that thinking immediately by making it seem that Jesus lived and died only to be a sacrifice for all sin, past present and future. Which makes the devil supreme over God, If even God had to sacrifice to him. So whos side are you on?

How is it a book of love? True the bible talks about love but so does Harliquin Romance. And similiar to a HQ, there is sex, deciet, sins and love. But there are also parts of the Bible that are not necessarily "love orientated". The bible is a book of faith. Not my own personal opinion(I have to still discover what I believe in classified as a religion) but I've heard those who have discussed the bible as "the greatest story ever told".(thus doubting it as fact and belief).

I checked out your link. It is intended to be critical of something that it obviously does not even remotely understand. The quoted sections from the Bible, supposedly demonstrating a "lack of love" (as the site tries to denote), has nothing to do with inter-personal applications. Those section quoted deal with civil law. Judicial systems aren't built on mercy, they're built on justice.
Yes, the Bible IS a book of love. Its really quite obvious...unless someone purposely aims to distort its message.

The link you provide has a very distorted view; too much to even know where to begin to address. I strongly suggest (if you are open to it) searching other sites about the Bible. I'm not trying to convert you but think you should get a full perspective from more than one source.

Did you miss the part about Lot and his two daughters? They get him drunk and lay down with him and give him two sons what's more loving than that? Wow all the Christians are going to hate me :) No it's supposed to be a book of truth.

Almost any viewpoint can be supported by quoting the Bible. I hope you are not as miserable and cynical as the person / people who went to all the work to produce that web site.

No its not a book full of love
It is a book of history of God's chosen people and their failings,
It is a book of history of God's chosen people and their successesI
It is a book of promises
It is a book of hope
It is a book of prophesy
It is a book of instruction
It is a book thet lets us know where we have come from
It is a book that lets us know where we are going
It is a book that clearly defines sin
NO ITS NOT A BOOK FULL OF LOVE, but it shows that God's heart is full of love for you, me and this world of people
